I saw this gaping maw in elite mode as a level 100 Blademaster. It’s to the left of the Korvan Sands Rift. I was wondering if it was just a really cool animation, or is it a secret area in Ultimate mode?

Yes, it is a secret area. It’s available on all difficulties.
The Maw of Enaht is slightly below and to the right of the portal. That’s part one of a quest and location for an epic helm. This is a different tentacled maw.
That’s the exit of Maw of Enaht when you finish the dungeon.

Oh, cool. I usually just port out of it when I get the sigil. I’ll have to actually go through the exit the next time I finish it.
