Is this okay? (video card question)

Okay - I have a cheap video card, an MSI GeForce GT 710. When playing Grim Dawn, it pretty much stays at 100% gpu usage, but I have a good fan cooling it, so it stays in the mid-40s centigrade. It never overheats or crashes & only uses about 1/2 to 2/3 of available vram…

Is this okay? Am I going to kill my card? It was only $35 so no great loss, but it’s all I have for now.

Thanks in advance!

Ha, no, you are not going to kill it. They are meant to last at least a few years even when they are pushed to their intended limits. It will crap out only if there is something wrong with it, or gets affected by something nasty like a really bad power supply.

Chances are you are going to get fed up with it’s performance way sooner than it gives up the ghost

hahahaha that’s good! In April I am getting a whole new (budget)system, so this one just needs to last until then…

thank you!

Max temp is 95C and since you have only half of that you should be fine.

here’s the screencap with the info cast on the screen:
