item names not to occlude enemies

is that possible? that all the items on the ground don’t actually take priority over actual enemies on click? i think that’s the only gripe left i have with the game. (i could swear i made such a thread before or added to an existing one…)

I’d like if it was possible to add a key that hides items while held down, possibly have that function added to the “hold still” key. Currently it’s possible to hide items by default and have them displayed by holding down a key, but it gets annoying fast.

This is one of the reasons I find binding primary skills to LMB a terrible idea and use a dedicated “move to” key.

For some play styles i agree the skill on LMB is clumsy at times. It depends on which control scheme you are using. IMO the “new” scheme, for all its quirks, is far improvement over the “classic” scheme, which I think durruti is using if i understand the complaint.

In “new” scheme you don’t have to actively click LMB in a fight, just hold LMB and point. It never auto clicks items on the ground, it will highlight them but not auto click them. It will auto lock and attack enemies and some breakable world objects/containers. It will use the LMB skill and then default attacks while the skill is on cooldown. With no target it operates as a “move to” key. For ranged and casters it means you have to be careful about where you point, particularly while trying to maneuver in a large group of enemies.

I use a work around for fights where there is any chance my character is killed. Set the loot filter to higher than yellow and there won’t be much around to get in the way. But other than tough fights I don’t need that work around and usually have loot filter to yellow to pick them up to sell.

i should definitely use that… but yeah. i’d still prefer the weird mouse selection priority be the other way around.

I agree it is an annoying problem. It may be simpler and I would be happy with a key that toggles item display without adjusting or ignoring the current item rarity filter setting.
