This is one major problem I have been having with this game. Loot drops on the floor, and floods a good portion of my screen with clickable text boxes. This is a major problem while in combat, I’ll be sitting there trying to fend off an army of mobs that followed a boss, the boss dies and drops his loot and the boss cache opens which floods my screen. I can’t see the mobs because they are hidden under the text boxes. Plus I cannot click to kill them because if I click anywhere near the box, my character stops what it’s doing and goes to pick up the loot and gets killed, even when I am holding down shift to hold position. By default, loot text boxes on the floor SHOULD NOT appear unless you press a hotkey to make them appear or you directly mouse over them, and the items definitely should not force your character to walk towards them when holding down the hotkey to hold position. I really hope you make this happen in your next patch.
There is a button for a loot filter to the left of the health bar in the shape of a triangle. Hotkeys already exist in combination with the filter to reveal the loot on the ground (defaults should be x and z).
I shouldn’t have to constantly hold down the filter buttons while in combat to see what I am shooting at (they aren’t toggle keys), this is why those item text boxes should not appear unless you hover your mouse over them or engage a filter key by default.
Then simply set your filter to show only legendary items as you will not get enough of these to flood your screen and then the rest will only show when you hold down a key
A temporary solution I suppose. But the override of hold position when you click an item on the floor needs to be dealt with for sure.
I’m not able to replicate this. When I hold SHIFT down my character does not move when I click on items. Tested with melee and ranged.
Weird. I wonder if I am doing something specific to make it do it all the time then. I will make another character and see if it persists.
