Will the devs remove any items in the expansion or will they keep all items and add more? I know it is a crazy question but i love lots of loot to hunt for. Also any idea how many items they will be adding to xpac? Have they removed any items in the past?

They won’t remove any items. They will eventually remake them. The last stream, Zantai showed a lot of them, they were on the ground. I believe he showed only sets, though (legendary only). It looked like at least 5 sets are being added.
Items generally get added only, not removed. The one ‘recent’ (i.e. after early access) case of removal was then the common version of the monster-infrequent rare items was removed.
Expansions only add items and might change existing ones.
