Items/skills/Devotions that no one ever bothers using by choice.

Name 'em and shame 'em. I’ll start.

Veterancy skill from Soldier tree.

Hydra constellation.

Myrmidon’s set for Soldier.

Pretty sure everyone who uses ranged weapons uses Hydra constellation or at least a lot of people do.

checks build compendium

Well shit. Not really sure why they do, but at least one does.

Alright, Harvestman’s Scythe then.

I use Hydra on my Saboteur: great damage increase and lots of OA.

I also have 10/10 Veterancy on my level 75 Witchblade. The health regen, although not impressive, helps when combined with my many sources of +%health regen and the requirement reduction allows me to wear the heaviest gear having invested only 30 points in physique. The rest is in spirit and, believe me, is much more useful than if had to invest in physique.

Um, what kind of witchblade are you running? A particularly caster-y one?

good constellation for energy regen / health regen / flat health …
I use it with an AAR Warlock to afford a max AAR and more survivability (http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?p=370187#post370187)

I use Hydra on a Pyromancer … some more OA is always welcome

It’s not because a skill/devotion/item is not used by the top tier builds that it’s a bad one that nobody chose …

I made a similar thread a while back. Thing is when you start exploring the game you notice these things do play a part in some builds

Like some people use Turtle’s Shell even though i wouldn’t want to use that on even the squishiest of my builds. Depends on playstyles and personal choices

As for the Myrmidon Set, i don’t think many people are aware of the new skill it grants since people have a bad tendency to ignore anything not green or purple (or is it violet?)

This is the skill it grants

Anyone who is a fan of using shields for damage (not my thing) can make something out of this Set.

Is this a question? Cause if so my answer is “doubtful”

Given that it is single target and breaks the flow of combat I’d generally prefer to continue beating them about the head with cadence than use the skill.

I’d say Bloody Pox and Trozan’s Sky Shard.

And they are right, cause this skill isn’t worth being aware of, it’s shit. If it was AOE it would be worth considering but being single target CD skill it is worthless for soldier class cause blitz makes better damage with AOE and Cadence is better for single target anyway.

I’d say Tsunami. The damage is too low.

As far as T3 devotions go, does anyone use Light of Empyrion?

The proc feels pretty anemic, too.

I seriously haven’t seen any builds use it.

I’m working on one. I’ll post it in a few days (maybe before patch) after some testing, i’m mainly holding off posting any builds or updating any existing ones cause i want to see what changes they introduce this patch.

I made a thread against some T3 devotions. Now i’m trying them out,

Merciless repertoire and Ulzuin’s Chosen

Devotion seems in a good place except for Light of Empyrion (recently saw a build which use it though).

Gear honestly there’s so much items… i’ve found loads which weren’t useful for any of my builds but i won’t say nobody use them, i just don’t know

It’s a poison/acid witchblade who is very tanky and prefer to fight at melee range. I also use the complete Perdition set for heavy retaliation. So far it’s my only build that was able to beat aspirant Crucible and it can do this with the extra spawn without any blessings/defense.

I’m pretty sure this build will be able to beat Gladiator crucible with ease, but I am still using faction gear in 3 slots and a slithtongue from elite as weapon.

Wait. Do you mean Slithbane? I can’t find any items called Slithtongue on Graceful Dusk. And if you’re going Slithbane, how are you using full Perdition? Slithbane is a 2h sword and Perdition has a shield.

EDIT: Never mind, found Slithtongue. Had rares filtered out for some reason. OK, so an acid dagger as your mainhand, I guess that makes sense for the build somewhat. Guessing you probably are aiming for something like Agony as a mainhand though.

Slithtongue is a rare dagger that is found on a corpse in a Foggy Bank cave

The dagger we find at the slith cave at the Foogy Bank.

Ulzuin’s Chosen is the worst skill in the game imo. It drastically reduces build variety as it’s limited to those shitty skills
