It's a marketing lie!

Really, I have started to believe that this “Blind Assassin” never existed and it’s just a lie told by the manufacturer of these equipments to sell their mass produced weapons and armor before the Grim Dawn and now they are everywhere.

Almost every play section the last few days one of the pieces of this set dropped, but I have yet to see the last pieces of the invoker’s set that I need.

You’re comparing the drop rate of a blue set to a legendary set? Run crucible :stuck_out_tongue:

Some pieces got more mass produced then others. I guess there was high demand for some stuff. sadly, not enough of the stuff that we really need is available, hence having to farm constantly to acquire that final piece /s.

Lets not forgot, I think a good number of items went missing, or got melted down for scrap and used else where. And now we are paying the price for stuff that was so common, to become as rare as gold dust.

Only the RNG gods can decide if we are worthy of honour to hold a complete set.

Relax. The Blind Assasin must have just been a name brand in Cairn, like Coco Chanel in our world

Tell me about it.

Rifthound Leather Boots and Templar Legplates haunt me since beta.

I know, I know. Let me exert my right to rant.

Yeah, but in the case of the Invoker’s set I’m pretty sure some fat noble undead has it. “Wow, such bright, colorful jewelry! Let’s buy this for my wife.” - and the rings were never used.

:D:D

Meanwhile, during a farming run for Chtonic Seals of Binding:

I think the real problem is, as so many copies of the game has been released, all those items had to be split between all those copies of the game. As they could only be manufactured in limited supply. So we now have a shortage problem, too many copies sold, and too few items produced equals not enough loot for everyone. :stuck_out_tongue:

Then again, even if the game had sold in limited copies, there still wouldn’t have been enough stuff produced, why? why bother producing items that only a handful of people will ever use?

So here is the dilemma, and the more copies of the game that gets sold, the harder it will be to find the items.

So there is your answer folks. :p:D

Facts:

  • you wouldn’t see an assassin who is good at his/her job
  • he might have used multiple items in his lifetime
  • he might have been dead

How are you surprised when someone named “The Blind Assassin” would have so many replacements for the weapons/armor that he is constantly losing?

People probably thought there were so many Blind Assassins running around when in fact it was just one who had a personal vendor who kept stocking up on what was lost.

Finally a good explanation, now I am satisfied.

So are you saying the rings are rarer or easier to find?

The same thing happens to me but with the Dawguard epic set. I’m so sick and tired of dropping pieces of this set. I probably already completed this set 10 times by now.
