It's been a year...looking to start fresh...farming build viability?

Greetings you grim mofos!

Looking to rack up some more hours in GD and I’m unsure what to roll for a fresh start. I usually grabbed one of Maya’s pet builds to farm up initial gear, but pets got bonked overall, correct?

I’ve been bumming around the builds list, but just looking for some seasoned opinions to mix in.

The beginner compendium could give you a lot of ideas, or even guides. Also, pets are still viable, so Maya’s builds would still work well

Since the game is pretty balanced why not play the skill you like the most :thinking: We could potentially comment on how good it is currently to level with at the moment.

Vitality Drain Essence Oppressor/Ritualist is really strong and easy to level , since DE got massive buff this patch

My most fun levelling/farming recently was my new Warder.
Built around Savagery & Feral hunger using Troll Bonecrushers. The rest of the build is the usual buffs from Soldier + Warcry. Mindless bloodsplosions. Very, very simple attack sequence. Perfect at the end of a day.
I just kept getting him new bonecrushers and simply melted my way through all the campaign content and dungeons. Haven’t done the celestials or higher SR shards, though.

As mentioned, I’d typically start with one of Maya’s builds…Carnival is most instances.

Other times I’ve started with a Conjurer, but went non-pet and ran Sigil and friends.

Skills that I don’t necessarily farm with, but enjoy nonetheless…got a soft spot for Fire Strike. A sword and board Soldier+??? is a fallback for farting around in. I’ve never really tried a skater because the apm seems high for my tastes, but maybe I’m wrong.

Any build I play can’t be approaching or full-on piano…my wrists just can’t take it at this point.

I’m sure there’s more, just can’t remember at the moment. :grinning:

blitzer is a potential easier and semi quick’ish starter farmer if you already enjoy soldier 'n shields

i’d look at ex Ceno’s? blitz krieg starter guide and or then transition into Lee’s top20 version if so/interested (i dont’ remember if someone else posted a different or newer blitz starter, but ceno’s works)

potential low APM/non piano builds would be primal strike warder, AAR spellbinder, EoR archon/death knight/soldier, all can be fairly 1buttony
Suppose drain essence Oppressor/Reaper is also kinda stupid atm, while possibly being easier/tankier than AAR :sweat_smile:
