Just curious and despite the risk of the community ripping me a new one, I don’t understand the point of all the great builds I see at level 100 that utilize ‘epic/mythical’ items which you obtain at level 90-94 and “no where to go” with them?? In other words, whats the point of having all these items at almost the maximum level obtainable without anything/anywhere to play?? Don’t misunderstand me, this is a great game and I have played over 2400 hours so this isn’t a criticism, just saying??
You have the rest of the content since you’ll probably hit 100 long before you reach that, rogue dungeons to farm, Nemesis to hunt down, Shattered Realm to push your build as far as you can go, Crucible for a different way to test it.
Or you can be perverse and not care about any of that and just start a new character to do it all over again.

Well the higher level items are meant for end game. Usually RPG games are more or less leveling and doing main story content. in GD you have never ending Shattered Realm, also DLC Crucible and in game you have superbosses and hidden ones. You can hunt down Nemesis and do dungeons, including some challenging bosses. So level 84/94 gear is created for that content.

The game for me is finding new or different ways to use skills and builds than seems obvious at first glance. Trying different type of conversions and devotion maps to find something that is somewhat unique and still powerful enough to clear the endgame content. To that end I have about 1200 hours of game time. At least 900 of which has been solely on testing end game builds. But I’ve probably spent 3k hours in grimtools + more time in gdstash making the items/resetting characters.
Grim dawn sets up a wonderful platform for creative build making. It by far has been my favorite part of the game

What do you mean “have no where to play”? You have dungeons, nemeses, celestial bosses like lokarr and ravager, other though bosses to kill and farm, you have crucible, you have shattered realm what else do you want?
