The first time since FoA released… I’m not going to comment about the greatly disturbing happenings going on with the one who cannot be named (appreciate the acknowledgement of the in-joke though 
) and get right to the point.

Am I right to assume that based on the description, there are another 5 similar items to be found in Ultimate and that this is most likely a part of the new super secret quest?
It seems to be. I’ve been avoiding going into the spoiler thread. I found 2 others so far.

Damn. About to finish Ultimate (just a couple Rifts in FoA remain) and this is the first one I stumbled upon when doing the quest for Anasteria in Valbury. I have a couple leads to investigate once I kill Beronath, but seriously doubt that’s going to net me another 5 secret items.
At least they are transferable. So, eventually it will happen. 
Just found the point where the items are supposedly to be handed in, if I ever manage to gather them.
Thought that’s a big if…
Only thing I can tell you is that containers off the beaten path is another way to find these.
Just found #1. Doing a clean sweep of Ultimate from the start for “another reason” (most likely secret quest related too) and luckily ran into it. Seems they are sorted by how far they are from the game start. So that at least gives a rough triangulation of their potential location.
I can now safely say that is not the case, after finding #6. So no built-in hint there…
this part of the quest greatly frustrated me 
but i wish you the best of luck trying to find it for yourself

#3 found. Way sooner than I’d expected. Starting to seem like all of them will be in the base Campaign areas.
that one made me tear out my hair and submit to Ceno’s guide 
Worst was, when i saw the google doc, it didn’t help, because i’d already been there @_@, just not close enough to not be view blocked by the tree or it had been late in the "uncover every pixel"map clear run, so was tired enough to miss it or something, despite running near enough to it/having that map part “cleared” on the FoW already on return… 
Got it totally by accident. Still missing #2 and #5. I fear I had a few gaming sessions I was completely forgetting about the quest and not checking on blue drops. I’m an idiot. But will get there.
