I just ran into her in the outskirts of Malmouth and did two different quests for her. Is that all there is to it (not counting the Bourbons)?

At a certain point while playing, I thought she might be the one from the Circle that writes the lore notes as I think they’re by a women (can’t remember the name and can’t check currently) but who knows?
Couldn’t she be just a picture of generic Aetherial Spellbraker from Crown Hill or something?
Ugh could someone summon Crate’s lore guy? I know the ritual is forbidden but it’s irking me.
This is an important question, probably on the same level with “Why the fuck does Chuppabacabra care if you kill some random grobbles back in Tyrant’s Hold?”
Just because they look one way in the game, doesn’t mean they are going to make cover art to look like the in game characters.
there are no female clothes in the entire game of Grim Dawn that’s what tipped me off that it’s fake lol.
Oh except for every other ARPG i’ve ever played, sure. Missed opportunity here she could have been a cool boss witch or something, instead she’s literally nobody whatsoever

The old splash screen was just a generic male occultist (obviously, at least to me - was there any controversy around that?)
With a new expansion, new loading art is kinda customary, and it makes sense that it would be one of the new classes. I’d guess they made her female because the last art depicted a male character, or maybe the concept artist just likes to draw sexy women, or perhaps one of the game overlords just came along and picked this particular piece of art out of the guys portfolio.
I mean, yeah, your player character doesn’t/can’t look anything like that but it’s not like that’s an unusual thing in games. The ability to customise your character would be kinda cool, though, now that we have illusions to customise outfits.
Think about that for a second. When’s the last time you saw advertising cover art that is meant to represent a PLAYER (if we’re agreeing that’s what she is) that can’t look “anything like” what you can get in game?
I LOVE Grim Dawn, but the sexy factor of this game has always been negative 100 percent, which is FINE. But this was sort of a silly choice, given every character in the game is clothed from neck to toe as though the temperature is stuck at sub zero 24/7.
So i thought they were hinting at a wider range of style for the game, or maybe a unique boss, or SOMETHING. but all the witch characters wear the same androgynous heavy armor that the players wear.
Now of course this is an aesthetic issue, it’s really of very little consequence, but as an artist myself I notice these things, and I just think it would have been cool if EVERY once in a while, the female characters looked even 1% like females. In a basically perfect ARPG, i’d say that is the only thing that’s missing.
Not trying to troll or anything, i love the cover art, i love the expansion, i just think it would have been cool if she was in game.
Would actually be nice the illusionist can rearrange your face. i wanna play dress-up. 
The artist who made this screenshot is a woman. Doesn’t mean she doesn’t like drawing sexy women though.
