Is it just me or is this nemesis horribly overtuned compared to all the other nemesis? When i get this guy at the end of a S75 or S76 on my blademaster I now just quit and restart. The crystals he summons do an insane amount of damage and you can’t leech any life of them when you try to take them out. Not to mention he is perma speed buffed and has insane pierce resist.
Crate please limit the number of crystals a single instance of Kaisan can summon at once. It’s just silly when there are 6+crystals on the map. Make it so that they despawn when he spawns new ones or make it so that you can leech life off them.
Sure some specs have no problem against this guy, but we don’t all play fotm specs.
Just lure him away of the crystals, and if you’re in a boss room and he gets on you first, instead of attacking him, go for the crystals. He spawns 2 every 22 seconds, first two are spawned after 8 seconds, so you’ll be fine after killing the first two. Moreover, he only does massive damage if you stay in his lightning circle. If you see his green sparkles, do not move - they mostly miss you if you just stay in place.
How to fight his crystals:
They have only about 700k HP in normal mode, not SR, so you should shred it fast. In SR 75 (according to GT) they have 1.6 million HP, so you should hit them a few times and then switch to Kaisan if you need some leech (assuming you have enough ADCtH to leech from Kaisan), then back to the crystal. Remember to pick up some Courageous Tinctures and some lifesteal via Hungerer and Lifestealer oils. Cursed Tincture is also a nice pick to shred them. If you combine all of those, you should be fine. You can also pick HP boosting elixirs (Royal jelly) to increase your survivability.
Frankly, now days my last problem in Sr is kaisen.
As u mentioned that u are palying with BM. I assume it is pierce based build, wich already discussed in another kaisen thread, that he is pain in the ass on pierce building.
First u have to pull him from his crystals or kill it if u deal tons of dmg. I can still deal with him if he has 1 left.
There is only one insanely overtuned nemesis - Gravathul! He can dispel your buffs, so you have to keep a close eye on him and run from him as fast as you can when he starts animation for that shitty skill. And if you aggroed him first, well… Good luck…
For me, Kaisan doesnt feel any more challenging, than other nemesises like Reaper of the Lost or Alexander (i feel like those are more challenging). My AoE skills eradicate crystals very quickly. So, it’s just a problem of your build - inability to deal with nasty adds quickly using AoE, and relatively weak RR (soldier mastery doesnt have any pierce RR, after all).
Reaper is probably the easiest nemesis for me, probably because I have 4k armor 30% dodge and 30% phys resist. I would rather take on 5x reapers than a single grava or kaisan.
I just seem to have enormous trouble with kaisan, and its mostly due to his crystals like I said, I already know the strats to beating him but when you have magic flying everywhere and his spawning crystals its hard to get enough uptime on him. Really I would like it if they made it possible to lifesteal of crystals, it would make it alot more doable for melee builds.
And he only gives me issues on the 4th chunks of shards 60-77
Switch to Crimson Lotus or Tinker’s belt before entering boss stages. If there’s no Kaisan switch back to your Bladebreaker (probably). Also, make sure your acid res is 40-50% overcapped.
