So I beat the game on Ultimate, farmed gear for my favorite build, and now doing achievements. It’s time for a new character!
I want a soldier who is tanky enough to kill Mogdrogen avatar on Hardcore Elite or Veteran since this is the only thing I couldn’t do with my main character.
Which build do you recommend?
I dont recommend trying to kill Mog on elite let alone ultimate on any character
Did you kill all the Nemesis,Anasteria and Bourbons yet?

Anything that can do ultimate can do Mog with over stacked up lightning res and stun res
Touché. I’ll try killing him right now. But I want to make a second character anyway for Hardcore. What do you recommend for a “safe” tanky soldier build?
I have only Warder and Battlemage, not a fan of melee fighters. Both are quite safe in their own way
Warder can kill him in Elite, I have done it.
Primal strike spec with 4/5 Ultos set + Ulzuin’s hat. Aether bomb (Widow), Viper and Wind devil provide enough resistance reduction. Ultos ammy and Spear of the heavens provide max lightning resistance. Wendigo totem lvl 15 outheals his damage, Grasping wines spams Falcon swoop while you are stunned. Leathery hide, Scars of battle and one point in Empty throne help with stuns as well.
My friend (conjurer) and I (warder) recently killed the avatar on Hardcore Normal. I do not believe my warder could have solo’d the avatar.
I applied most of Squib’s pure retaliation build, and there are almost no instances where the avatar will melee swing you, negating all of my damage.
As you are opting for hardcore, I recommend being able to absorb large damage spikes for phase two and three whatever you end up doing.

Avatar is near the end of the video. As you can see, my health rarely drops very low, even when he’s enraged. With Royal Jelly potions, it should be impossible to die. Takes around 15 min on Elite though.
