Krieg set drop rate questions

I am playing the game on Xbox now, so not sure if it is the same drop rate as PC but I would guess it is supposed to be.

From lvl 75-90 I did exactly 30 runs with my toon and got 0 Krieg pieces, and by a run I mean killing all 3 bosses that drop the set pieces. I was wondering if maybe Xbox rates were bugged or bad luck…or maybe even that they didn’t drop until 94+.

I waited until I turned 95, then from 95-100 I did exactly 50 runs killing all 3 bosses and the helm dropped 1 time.

Again I am wondering, is the xbox drop rate screwed up or is this common? I did this run on my PC and within 30ish runs I had a complete set PLUS extra pieces to filter through.

Hmmm… might be possible because the drop rates are pretty low, for example 3.5% for the gloves which means 28 runs needed on average. I don’t think the number of runs you made is conclusive of some bug. In the first part your character’s level was too low I guess.

Let’s for example count probability of you not getting gloves in those 50 runs: 0.965^50 ~ 17% so in the realm of possiblity.

Anyway, what I wanted to write is that usually when players make a thread about droprates, they find the items soon afterwards so now you need to get back to farming

LOL This was the exact reason I posted this. I planned on going home after work and doing 30ish runs again and seeing how it goes. =)

OR I was hoping someone on the xbox might say “They aren’t dropping at all” and save me a few hours of my life lol

Do the set pieces even drop in this lvl range? I haven’t played in a while but from memory lvl 94 items don’t drop until enemies are about lvl 90+

I’m not sure. I was following Stupid_Dragons guide for a Death Knight and he said they dropped from 75+ on elite with him getting his first drop at like 80 or something, but it was written a year or 2 ago so not sure how dated that part might be.

Which is why I ran it another 50 times at 95+ and did notice I got 1 drop so maybe the level minimum is 90 or 95 or something. I will be doing all ultimate runs tonight when I get home just in case, but maybe someone could verify for sure the drop rate and minimum lvl needed and whether ultimate has a better chance at drops or something.

Krieg set drops as far back as Normal difficulty, only requirement is player character needs to be above lvl 75 or 76
it’s one of the stranger drops in the game being tied to player lvl like that rather than enemy lvl :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Any idea if drop rates are better on elite or ultimate?

that’s the even stranger part
apparently it’s the same drop rate on all difficulties as long as character is that lvl

You are of NO help LOL

Afaik, it or lvl 94 equipment only drop when the monster level is 85+

Not sure what mob lvl Krieg is at lvl 76 but I know pieces dropped on PC for me at that lvl.

the set does not drop on normal. Drop rate is the same for elite/ult

drops on normal
been confirmed several times - player character needs to be above 75 or 76 or something, thats it, area lvl doesn’t seem to matter
people have been cheesing the fact it drops on normal for HC chars

game files say otherwise

game files literally says what i’m saying tho`? (according to GT) Grim Dawn Monster Database
and you can find multiple user posts divulging their drops from normal (and their potential puzzledness from it)
look up ex terrnox, player 76 version, set him to normal, lvl 70, normal, and you will see lvl 70 MI lootable active, but also still including the krieg pieces

anecdotes

and grimtools is not 1:1 with actual game files.
If you type in “fleshweaver krieg” in there, you will see 2 version. Elite/Ult decide based on the level which version ot spawn. Normal only uses the 1-75 version

look again, there is 0 mention of Elite/Ulti requirement like for other bosses that have boss swap, the boss swap specifically says “player lvl”
and i bothered to give you not one but 2 users quote that has done this themselves

shame that I bothered to check the game files for you and explain how the spawn works for this set of bosses.

But sure, go ahead and believe the “always right” grimtools.

i’m taking the word of multiple people that each says they gotten it on normal, either accidentally or deliberately - and then using GT to affirm that, shame i bothered to link to some of those quotes
i’m very well familiar with GT not always being accurate, listing affixes and stuff that wasn’t in the actual drop table etc
but when you have multiple people say the same thing, (and GT then backing the possibility up), i’m choosing to believe people and not think there is some giant conspiracy for several people to lie about this crap - wouldn’t be the first time there was an oversight/error in the game tables either fwiw
