Hey,
besides this bug I am pretty happy with 0.8.0, but since I have a barn no labourer is picking up the milk which leads to rot. I erased walls, roads and the barn (inclusive relocate and building a completely new one in different places) with no success. My storages are not full and the hapiness regarding to food is not fulfilled. So my villagers would be happy about the milk.
I even build a new root cellar, because I thougt the travel time would be too long to the original, but this wasn’t helping either.
Some labourers walk to the direction of the barn but then suddendly stop moving with the notice “Wandering - unable to work”.
It is a new world since 0.8.0. So I don’t play with a generated world from an earlier version.
Maybe you have some ideas
EDIT: Interesting: I deleted one barn and the labourers don’t even pick up the remaining milk, which was in the storage of the barn. They picked up the stone, planks and the wheat but not the milk, which will rot now.
Much like laborers will not pick up meat at a hunters cabin to bring it to storage (only hunters and smokers will do that), laborers will not pick up milk. It’s not really a bug but a design choice. It is NOT new with 0.8, allways was that way. That they don’t pick up up when deleting the building however is a bit strange as laborers have the job of picking up lose items and will wander around the map to do so for armor and weapons for example.
Hopefully this kind of thing can be addressed when they have a look at the logistics model - which sort of works once you understand it, but has some clear limitations the way it is currently implemented.
Well, I upped the herders from 2 to 3 and the milk was definitely taken to storage by them (not a labourer). To be fair, my herd at the small farm had increased to 8 so the extra hands were needed.
