I had a village almost reach 2000, then lose over half the population.
Combination of small pox, typhoid, pneumonia, cholera all hitting at the same time. It was brutal.
949 dead and 32 still stick

So it looks like you’re lacking;
Also how did you lose so many to predators? Did they add wolf raids to the game or something?
I had 2 hospitals, shoes, compost yards etc. I had also researched all the medical tree before it started.
Probably didn’t have enough wells spread out, but I do have lots of temp housing spread out.
I have played 500 hours, and never experienced anything like it. It was literally one disease, followed by another, followed by another.
Bears were walking around the town towards the back end of the plague and no one was healthy enough to fight them. I probably could have done more to stop the bears, but I missed it early.
Oh, I missed one; Food Poisoning comes from eating raw meat. If you disable meat from being stocked in your Marketplaces as soon as they’re built, you can avoid that problem entirely.
But yeah, there’s a chance there was some recent patch that caused some cascading problems, or having the Smallpox first so bad led to non-bug issues
If you turn off meat at the markets, do they eat Meat at all?
It appears a weird one. Surely people would cook it ![]()
Small pox was 2nd.
I think Cholera was first. I could have just been very unlucky to get 3 or 4 things in quick succession.
No, smokers smoke it so they don’t cause food poisoning.
Cholera is caused by lack of soap and too much waste buildup in houses
Can you see if waste has built up. I didn’t get any alerts that waste was building up
You have to look house to house. Rather, look at a house in one area, then another area, repeat until you’ve looked at all areas. The houses that are closer to Compost Yards are likely to be more taken care of, but further travel and going to more houses by nightsoil collectors to houses with very high levels (40+) can cause neglect
