Why am I always getting that every crop? Got max farmers
Are the fields far away or are they very busy with a lot of Apiaries?
or do you have multiple crops finishing at the same time? Farmers will all help each other out, so if two crops are finishing at the same time, they will all go to the first one to get it and then all go to the next meaning that one goes a little later
That mechanic confuses me, as do farmers in general. You can get away with 1/2 the recommended number of farmers for the reason you mentioned, but on the flip side, after you have a lot of farmland and maybe on opposite sides of your city, you can lose crops even with max farmers, because the farmers assigned to a field are off helping a buddy elsewhere and ignoring the field you hired them to take care of.

I often make multiple areas of farms, so I’ll have x number over here, y number over there, etc. It seems they help fields close by first, so this tends to trick them into staying around one farming area. This works with 1/2 farmers, but I often alternate with 2/2 and 1/2 (current fields are 2/3 and 1/3 and doing just fine)
The best thing to do is move your crop rotation enough that plants finish with a small delay between one another.
