Level 36 Shaman not sure where to go

I’m a level 36 Shaman playing on veteran i’ve just reached homestead and i’m not quite sure what to do build wise i’m pretty sure i’m going to go with Warder but not sure where to put skill points, this is what my build looks like so far, it’s worked pretty damn well for me.
16 points Savagery
13 points Devouring Swarm
16 points Summon Briarthorn
1 points in Mogdrogen’s Pact
5 points Heart of the Wild
1 points Ground Slam
1 Points Wendigo totem
3 points Stormcallers Pact

I was wondering if anyone had any tips or if i should respec, a few builds say this a good way to level til 40 or so then swapping is a good idea, most builds i’ve seen are level 85 so not sure what i should really be gunning for.

You got two options if you wannan play warder. Either go physical or lightning. Either way remove all of your points from devouring swarm, briarthorn and ground slam.

Disagree. Bleed works extremely well (and built around d. Swarm).

Deathon, what sort of character are you trying to build? What style of play?

Your pet is going to start lacking sooner or later and you’ll have to decide on either investing in pet damage and become a pet build or drop Briarthorn and focus on player damage. Pet hybrids are very iffy.

For Warder you could go physical/bleed and use a twohander like Empowered Boneshard Lacerator or The Guillotine. Debuff with Devouring Swarm/Rend devotion then go to town with either Blade Arc or Savagery with Feral Hunger while standing in the Wendigo Totem aura

Well I quite like the idea of going lightning and tearing up a storm but a physical/bleed build does seem good, how is shaman/nightblade? I’d like something that can survive ultimate and it seems very build specific from what I’ve read

You could also do a primal strike build and do lightning & bleed, if you like (though I might suggest druid over warder in that case). Pick a power you want to use or a damage type you want to do and make other choices to support that. I do agree with Adrius that you are probably better off ditching the pet or going all in with it, until you have a better idea what you are doing (hybrid pet builds can work, but not the easiest thing to do well).
