Leveled in Crucible - can I skip to Elite?

I started playing GD again recently and liked the Crucible. I’ve now leveled a couple characters to 50+ playing only in Crucible.

Now I want to go build faction and explore the storyline & expansion with these characters, but I can only start the campaign on Normal. It seems like enemies do not scale so there is nothing fun or interesting about playing the campaign.

I already have an old character who has finished Normal. In the Crucible, when you get to Challenger you can buy an item to unlock Challenger for other chars… is there an item like that for the main campaign?

There isn’t, but if you stick to roads/cart paths, you can blow through the story in no time if you’ve saved up scrap and dynamite.
