… if you think rank 16 raven is weak because “basic” attack … @_@
then you and i are playing very very different games fren, because birb tears sht up on veteran long before reaching lightnign strike - and i usually skip heal entirely since it’s “wasteful”
One way to implement this in ARPG’s in general could be like every skill is available from the start but one has to find items etc to “level them up”. And one can not increase power of that skill at will but one has to be a certain level for it.
Think of path of exile, all skill gems can be available from the start but they have to gain experience, and items etc with +skills can boost them further.
If that’s your plan for endgame (Because that set changes a lot of things, including how the raven SCALES) I’d really go for either familiar to start with, or … you can try Something completely different
Realistically, you can probably start with Devouring swarm for the first 10-15 levels or so, then respec and put your points into storm totem, which is really quick to cap since it’s a single node.
From then, Stormcaller’s pact and raging tempest are your best place to invest.
But don’t bother with summon familiar until you have the set, because it scales with pet bonus until then, which means a completely different setup. (Alternatively, you can start with familiar, and invest in pet bonuses and briarthorn until level 94… both avenues work fine)
THAT is indeed a really good example of a build that can only really come online at high level.
