So I just discovered that yet again, you will gain less skill points after 90. So just 1 down from 2. So underwhelming
Well there is another expansion coming too. There has to be some limit to define your build.
Again, go to BoC, itâs wayyy faster. Try with exp potion if you have the cash:)
Try leveling after 100. Itâs REALLY underwhelming.
I donât think itâs underwhelming at all.
When youâre stacking +skill points, that one additional skill point makes a HUGE difference.
Why yet again? Itâs always been that way. Did you forget?
I meant the âyet againâ that after 50, you get only 2 points, that was such a letdown as well (that was 2 years ago when I first played the game). So many skills yet so few points
Thatâs why you need to choose where you put them wisely young padawan. âWorking as intendedâ as Zantai says - frequently!
Itâs to prevent you from doing what you could do in Titan Quest. Which was pretty much max the entirety of each mastery.
Donât think you could do that in TQ either, but in TQ my char was pretty much complete by the time I hit the late 50s level wise, any points beyond that time went into skills I barely used.
In GD otoh there are still plenty of points to spend in useful ways even when my char is done. I donât think dropping the points per level to 1 was really needed at all.
I got a few characters close to level cap and even before that, i had maxed nearly all of the skills, while still having a few points in other skills.
I think itâs actually kind of possible to max all skills with the Ragnarok expansion increasing the level cap to 85. Unless you gain less skills points after level 75.
I honestly think the gain of only one skill point after level 90 was needed. I have a bunch of builds that would be so much better if you kept gaining two skill points from 90 to 100. Thatâs an extra 10 skill points that matter quite a lot.
No, but you can max more than you can in GD. Plus to max out the mastery itself needs 50 points compared to only 32 in TQ. And more bonus skill points from quests in TQ as well - 21 in the old game, 30 in the AER one.
there are 200 skill points in each TQ mastery, plus 32 to max the mastery bar.
According to titancalc you get max 222 points in game, so you are just short of getting half the points you would need to max everything⌠well short of maxing nearly all skills like you claim

skill points have diminishing returns, anything I got in TQ in the 50s made little difference, antything I got in the 60s made no difference whatsoever.
In GD it takes longer for my build to be complete and the game is harder. I can see plenty of cases where those âmissingâ 10 points would help me, I am not sure I see any where they would make a build OP that wasnât already.
I am certain some well thought out builds donât need them, but my âmake it up as you go alongâ self-found builds would certainly benefit from them
Iâm taking pluses to skills on items into consideration because those play a big role in the amount of skill points you have at the end. Specially when each skill only has 4 ultimate ranks in Titan Quest, while in Grim Dawn they have 10. I have several builds that saved from 30 to 40 points in pluses from items. And even more specially because the amount of items with +1 to skills to a mastery is so common in TQ. Even +2 to all skills in not exactly rare.
Of course if you remove the pluses to skills on items from the equation you canât max nearly all skills.
Wait, isnât it 255 skill points due to level cap of 85? How many skills points you get each level after 75? Thereâs also skills points from quests which 21 extra points. So it should be 276.
Edit: Itâs actually 282 skill points at level 85 in Ragnarok.
