Hi, I’m up to level 98 and have some decent gear and resistance. I can’t seem to mitigate the damage you get from certain enemies. My life keeps draining even after I run away. Does anyone have some tips on survivability. I’m running a death night using blade arc thanks
Maybe you need reflect reduction ![]()
Can be found in devotion, some components etc.
To elaborate:
If you continue to lose life, you’re under a Damage over TIme (DoT) effect. Poison, burning, bleeding, vitality decay, internal trauma, the works.
Some enemies deal a lot of this damage, but if you have decent resistance you should not fall victim to those.
However, a very common cause of death for physical melee characters (like most blade arc characters) is reflected damage. Blade arc inflicts a lot of “internal trauma”, a damage-over-time effect. As far as I know, the only thing that mitigates this is physical resistance, which you will not have a lot of. Armour does not help against internal trauma.
Good news: Enemies don’t inflict this type of damage much.
Bad news: If YOU inflict this damage, and meet an enemy with reflect… you kill yourself.
Solution: Either get Reflect Resist as TQFan mentions. Or pay attention to enemy heroes called “the reflective”, and specific types of enemies with that golden glowy shield around them. Possessed archmages and some types of skeletons are the main culprits. Avoid those, either don’t attack them until the shield drops, or hit them once or twice only so you don’t end up killing yourself.
Great advice thanks.
