LifeSteal for Pets

adding lifesteal to Master of Death.

i’ve noticed that there aren’t alot of items that give lifesteal to pets, especially the devotions like revenant and toad are way too much hassle to get for the life steal component for pets.

I think this would make Master of Death more enticing for pet builds out there, and more survivabilty to the cabalist.

In my opinion, lifesteal for pets is worthless unless you have at least 20%. For example, my skeletons have ~10k HP (probably even a bit less), and 4% ADCTH, and they… don’t even heal. They can hit for 20k per hit, healing, theoretically 800 HP on trash mobs, but their HP doesn’t move even if they don’t get hit. I mean, it does move, but not too much. On the other pets, the ones that have 35 - 100k HP, it’s non-existent. Only skeletons can benefit from that in some way, other pets just don’t, because they don’t even heal off that. You’re better off getting some kind of healing, for example Mark of the Nymph.

Let’s say pets have 60k HP, and 20% lifesteal, they hit for 50k on average, so they heal 10k HP. This is noticeable. With 4% lifesteal they heal for 2k, so yeah. And also, your pets won’t hit for 50k per hit all the time. :stuck_out_tongue:

How do you know your skeletons don’t heal considering we aren’t given a HP bar for them?

Well, cause enemy mobs have life leech resist, which also governs heal from ADCTH.

So rip. Other than that, how about an armor bonus? Flat armor to make pets last longer.

Salazar’s Harbinger grants a 10% life steal aura among other things and Will of the Crypt increases armor by a % (I assume some of the skeletons have base armor) which can be combined with other auras like Temper or Oak Skin. Blood of Dreeg + Aspect of the Guardian can also be good for keeping pets healthy.

Skeletons don’t have as much health because you get a lot of them + can summon them more often so I think it’s intended that they are easier to get killed.

Hold CTRL or ALT (can’t remember now) and hover mouse on one of your skeletons.

I prefer having equipment that adds more range to Wendigo Totem so that pet builds can actually make use of Blood Pact and it’s nice ADCTH. Blood Pact gives great flat Vitality damage and is one of the few sources that grants %Bleeding Damage, but due to poor itemization and strains on skill points, there’s no place to include it for pet builds.

Also, absolutely yes please to Mythical Mark of the Nymph. That, and have the Mythical Corruptor’s Set heal pets as well as the user and buff Mythical Touch of the Everliving Grove so that it’s not completely obsolete by the Mythical Overlord’s Grips. The more options for party-wide heals, the better, though I can see how it can get ridiculous if you can get people to spam all these party-wide heals in Multiplayer.
