Buddy and I are leveling a couple alts for fun. He’s going pure glass cannon while I will be rolling tank. I am starting with soldier and have a couple ideas for second class. I still consider myself a noob when it comes to grim dawn so I was hoping to get some insight from more experienced players on what would be best secondary class for a meatshield build.

Many choices are there depending on how you want to tank
Arcanist for mirror and Maiven
Demo for blast shield + Flashbang
Shaman for more hp + Wendigo totem
Yeah I did a mock up build and was thinking soldier/shaman for regen/wendigo The regen aura gives physical dmg as well unless I read incorrectly so I would have a buff for my buddy.
Soldier/demo with right gear and devotions that proc on being hit= was into crowds and watch them die. I’ll link a Grim tools to my build if I remember later on phone now. I will say some hero monsters take a while to kill as my damage is at 19,997.
As I said, I am looking for 100% Meatshield, it is a character i will only be playing with my buddy (glass cannon)
Do note that aggro in multiplayer, is borked or I do not understand it correctly, but bosses/heroes/nemesis etc will ignore your taunts. Skills and items that say generate additional threat (sentinals ring proc) do next to nothing.
Your friend is going to want defence aswell.
