i restarted with a new combo, Nightblade + Soldier, i watched the copendium but that are builds just working well with good equip but whats good to level safe and relaxed?!
Soldier usually level with either BA or FW, Nightblades with ABB.
Or you can use component skills.
pls what? Im really new in that game
i dont know all that shortcuts
What BA or FW ( Ah thats forcewave
) and ABB?
Blade Arc and Force Wave in the Soldier Mastery and Amarastas Blade Burst in the Nightblade tree.
But you have one big advantage, you are ignorant (positively) you can just do whatever you feel like and want to do. No pressure, no comparing with other builds. My advise to new players is to just do what they want, not autopilot guides.
^^ this.
Or you can just go with fireblast (Searing Ember/Flintcore Bolts components) with Fiery Aura (Enchanted Flint), works with any class combination till ~30-45 lvl, then switch to melee.
Hardest part as Blademaster is to get enough Spirit to wear nice mage armor and focus (needed for Enchanted Flint) for the mana regen.
Soldier is safe for leveling with MAx blitz (with falcon swoop bound to it), max deadly momentum and Bulwark, Cadence maxed at the end.
Nightblade with Amarasta blade burst maxed, lethal assault some night’s chill, elemental awakening and finally nightfall is fast and fun. Squishy and i didn’t bother with resists but you can craft some materials for that :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I23DhKAJEmM
Here is a short example of simple affordable self found gear and skills+devotions
Here’s a grimtools for a SSF hardcore dual wield blademaster that I’m currently enjoying. He’s in early ultimate difficulty, at the moment. He’s mostly about WPS skills, with a skill from his relic for AOE.
You can level early with blitz, shadow strike, ring of steel, blade trap (1 point is enough), pneumatic burst, and blade barrier. A single point in dual blades and WPS skills as per this build works fine early in the game.
Go hard on defenses early with devotions and by building up military conditioning soon, as damage is less of an issue than keeping your defenses in order. You need to selectively fight and retreat, at times.
If you’d like a fun leveling experience, a blademaster works just fine. If you’d really prefer a relaxed leveling experience, though, a blademaster may not be the best pick.
I’ll definitely recommend Forcewave for fast leveling and it’s actually a solid skill in Ultimate. It’s also not very gear dependant, just stack a bunch of % physical modifier and the skill will do the rest.
Imho ABB is not even neaded, Night’s Chill + Nightfall alone melts everything in veteran and most of elite super fast almost afk.
Trash melts anyhow most of the time when you know what you are doing. ABB+LA melts bosses. Night’s Chill + Nightfall are def. nice skills, but until Nightfall ABB is the way to go (esp. with +skills).
ABB also deals a decent amount of flat Cold damage now after the latest patch. So it’s an even better leveling skill than before. Night’s Chill + ABB + Pneumatic Burst + SS + WPS make NB the most enjoyable class to level, at least for me (followed by Demo and Soldier).
And what will one be leveling with until nightfall?
It also has 2x CD of ABB.
ABB will totally melt until elite and together with NF, even better. Gearing for it is also super easy.
Dual weilding and not using the Breath of Belgothian transmute? Shame
This is now a lot of input which I have to process
I have dual wield tried but I felt I got a lot of damage, i had some defense skills on soldier and allways if i switched to shield it was ok.
I tryed http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54775 this one but i never can handle that incoming damage…
I tryed a lot of own builds but allways had the same problem, the normal trash was fast dead but the yellow ones life so long that i fall asleep
I tryed some other builds in other threads but allways had the problem with incoming damage or no dealing damage.
My other Char is a 75 Soldier+Demolitionist and i played that one http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48597 … Its really relaxed anyway which items i used.
Maybe i really need to find my own way but my Ingamecash is not infinitely for reskill
I use PB when incoming damage is a bit high, so having it recharge quicker is helpful.
That doesn’t mean I’m necessarily right, though, as I never tried out the transmuter. Does the health regen bonus apply to all health regen, or just for PB itself?
but that transmuter does reduce the recharge time AND increases health regen
unless you are not dual-wielding you should definitely use it.
Wow, you’re right. It’s in my build now.
I don’t know why. But, somehow I thought I was adding five seconds to the cooldown timer if I took the transmuter, and not subtracting five seconds.
Reading FTW!
Here’s a build I have that others have used to complete hardcore mode solo self-found, it touches on a lot of the concepts others mentioned. It’s one of the hybrid caster S&B builds Drizzto mentioned.
