I bought TQ a year or two ago on Steam and I’ve only just gotten around to playing it properly! Being a big D2 fan, I’ve been blown away with TQ’s offerings and so went looking to see if Ironlore had made any more games like it - and well, here I am! Grim Dawn is looking awesome and I can’t wait to play it.
hi and welcome, and please join the very long queue, we are all eager for this game to come out, check out the forums and dev updates, if you haven’t already
glad you like TQ, GD will be many times better, faster pacing and more,
so hope you see you around the forums and enjoy your stay
Thanks for the welcoming Matthew!
welcome and…if you were looking for an awesome game, you have found it now
Welcome to Grim Dawn, Paxi, and do enjoy your stay here.
Wow, if you just recently found out how great TQ is, enjoy it. Most of us here have gotten a lot of time out of that game and envy anyone that has not played it to death already.
And welcome to the forums.
Truth is I’ve owned TQ and Immortal Throne for about 2-3 years - I bought it for me and my girlfriend and she played it to death. I played it for an hour or three but at the time I was heavily into Left4Dead, hooking up with buddies and trashing zombies for a living!
Lately, I’ve been totally unimpressed with games, Skyrim lasted about a week, Torchlight looked nice but didn’t hit the spot, D3 is too expensive for me right now, so I decided to fire up TQ and give it a second chance. Currently running around in Egypt for the first time and loving it.
Here’s a thing - I recently started my own business making stone garden ornaments, and after playing TQ got totally inspired to make a mini Greek temple and cast it in stone to sell to people for their gardens! If it comes together, I’ll post some pics.
Hi Paxi and welcome to the forums - would be very interesting to see those pictures of the temple if it all comes together. Good luck with the business - hope that it flourishes and brings you great pleasure.
Cheers for the good lucks koovan!
I recommend that you don’t bother spending $60 on Diablo 3.
You will have more fun setting the $60 on fire.
I bought Diablo 3 on the release date. (I camped outside the store.)
And I stopped playing it like 3 months ago. Uninstalled.
P.S. Welcome to the forums. Enjoy your stay!
Cheers for the heads up Assassin. I can’t say exactly what it is, (perhaps it was too long in the making) but I waited for D3 for so long and when it finally came I wasn’t interested. I think things have changed so much since D1 and D2 days that I feel that nostalgia will not have a part to play in D3’s life.
But this here Grim Dawn, looks like it could bring some of that old feeling back!
