I’d like mobs and bosses to drop loot boxes sometimes. From which you can get RANDOM items(not just ones stricted to certain mobs). It would feel so good to get a lot of loot boxes and then open them at safe place. I bet people will love it.
I think those are called loot orbs, every hero has them.
you can’t really collect them orbs, you gotta break them where you stand and they never drop from minions
Which is what you do with any other loot in the game. According to you your loot boxes wouldn’t drop from minions either - so all you’re asking for is to be able to take the box/orb away and investigate in a safe place. If you’ve killed the hero and other foes the area is safe anyway. No need to carry a box/orb away with you, just open in situ as normal.

No, I typed from mobs and bosses. It means it should drop from minions too. And plus it’s good not to have to carry a lot of junk, just cool loot boxes
I don’t know of any ARPG that has the type of loot box you are talking about.
I know MMORPGs have these types of things. You still end up with things to tote about, and when you open them you’ve got to deal with the items that pop out.
Might as well pop the loot orb and only take the things you want.
Backpack + 5 bags and 2 multitab stashes = not good enough for the lootmonkeys. Amazing. They want hammerspace lootbox lootables to further ridiculously overstuff their bags. It’s a pretty good thing GD doesn’t use a weight system.

Seems pointless, just adds another step to getting the actual drops.
hmm… imagine if … you could redeem your loot for stuff, stuff that you’d use to buy legendaries with alongside your components and other things…
