Loot drop chances for Ascendant gear in AoM are low

I was wondering, why I hadn’t found a decent Ascendant shoulder since 1.0.9.8. Then I looked up the drop rates.

For the heroes the rate is a bit better at 7.5% per armor piece and ~50% for each scepter.
The result is that you get lots of scepters, which you can buy from the vendor anyway, and almost none of the head & shoulder pieces, as the hero spawns are few and far between.

Those rates are identical to the rates of Chosen in FG, which makes sense on the surface, however:
The Chosen heroes and elite minions appear more frequently and in larger packs, and their gear also drops from the bosses, while the Ascendant gear does not drop from Terrnox, Valaxteria.

Also, the shoulders have an affix bias towards the element they are converting away from (yes, I know, working as intended, bias to both etc.)

Yeah - I always wondered why the items with the far higher drop chance are also available from vendor. Curious as to the rationale.

And when they do drop, they can get stuck on level geometry in those areas, or, I suspect, despawn instantly when they fall into crevices, like it sometimes happens in the area leading to Korvaak.
