I do most of my loot farming on my physical Cadence S&B Warlord. He’s a sturdy little fellow, pretty much no issues face-tanking everything most of the time, as long as I be a bit careful around Kaisan, Aleksander or Grava’Thul.
Ultimate SR 65-66 is a cakewalk and can be finished quickly and reliably every time without any real risk.
Ultimate SR 75-76 is comfortably achievable and I’ve not yet had a ‘cannot complete’, HOWEVER it does take notably longer and bad piloting or unlucky boss mix (especially Grava and his ‘the real boss is the UI’ purge bollocks) can mean the occasional death and cutting the clock pretty close to the line.
My question is - does anyone have any science behind whether the loot allocation in 75-76 is notably better than in 65-66, to be worth the extra hassle farming at that level?
Because the loot in 75-76 is amazing but it’s notably more annoying to get to, so if I can sleepytime through 65-66 and still get 90% of the loot, that’s a better use of my time…
Good players, like you, wondering about difference within Ultimate SR lvl runs.
Mediocre players, like me, wondering the difference between SR Normal 65/66 and Elite 50/51.
My warlord died a couple of times doing SR Ultimate to get the Shattered Realm armor set (lvl50). It was a real struggle. Thats why i bought 10 of each SR armor set pieces as i was there (just reentered the realm until good rolls on pieces, especially phys res), so i not have to plan to go there any time soon.
I was shopping there for one hour. I have now all pieces x 10 with max phys res roll now and i am proud of it.
I am even super happy i reached that level.
Congrats to be able to do SR Ultimate at that level for farming runs. I am envious now.
I would never do normal SR for loot farming anymore. Since its loot nerf, you’re better off farming totems or dungeons on elite/ultimate.
If you wanna do SR for loot, elite SR 50+ is the minimum that is worth it over totems/dungeons imo.
I presume you meant *shard60, the helmet can’t be bought pre SR 60.
My concern is Righteous Fervor vs Cadence. But i wanted to go for RF because i thought its overall superior. But not the damage. And thats a problem.
The second thing i tried and will try again about damage is to go high or full Cunning, but there is Military Conditioning (+%Physique), so i always feel the drag towards Physique here.
About the shield:
I gave it a try because i already decided to use the amulet from that set. So i am blessed with high armor % and ele res % from the 2-set-part bonus ontop of Consecration (RF mod) which i start to doubt if i need that at all. Also the CDR from both set items i like very much.
And not to forget the Elemental to Physical conversion which gives me at least some use of RF and Smite Flat Fire/Burning damage, like the acid/posion Flat damage from rings and relic partially converted by the belt.
Its a slow shield, but with 100% Block Recovery permanently, i dont care, while the blocked damage is one of the highest ones afaik.
Very nice. Oh and that helm , that i still dont have
Well done. Nice compilation of equipment. I did use that shield too until i got the Warborn Set.
One question: Why do you use Warcry AND Shattering Smash? I bet you certainly have a intention to use both, because at the first glance one could say: Those RR doesnt stack, so what is it?
And i just now noticed that you are going for alot of Cunning, intresting. Seems a good way to regulate damage at the most basic lever. I should try again going more Cunning. I need damage because i died because of too low damage i think.
I hope you dont mind another basic question: Why you go for Cadence and not RF. Whats your reasoning behind it?
Edit: Wow, you got close to 20 k health while going full Cunning, incredible.
Shattering Smash is mostly single target, and Light of Empyrion devotion does the heavy lifting for incoming damage reduction. So I’ve only got 1 point each in both parts of War Cry, the rest are free points, and for 2 points total I get a large AoE health reduction and a weaker -RR than Shattering Smash but on that large AoE.
FYI, I also only have 1 point in Shattering Smash - the rest is from gear.
Cunning increases my core damage type as well as OA.
Because Cadence does much, much higher damage thanks to Deadly Momentum, hits 3 targets thanks to Fighting Form, and I already have enough DA, Elemental Res and Armour.
Markovian chest and shield (which is awesome with 100% Overguard btw, almost completely cancels out the negatives) give me a boatload, plus Ravager helmet and lucky Mighty roll on the Ugdenbog belt.
One of the bits that I noticed immediately as different is i’ve got 12/12 Blindside under Blitz, which gives me essentially permanent -270 DA on up to 8 mobs near me, which is the same net effect as having 270 additional OA… so essentially I’ve got 3450 effective OA most of the time.
I would say SR 65-66. It is easy and you can finish it faster also than SR 75-76. If build is not good enough for SR 65-66 than farm as high as possible.
