I really like Grim Dawn but I like to have very strong character too
That’s why I would like to get a complete set for my character. Unfortunately, this is impossible (probably) in Grim Dawn because I have more than 100h in the game and I have the only helmet for my set.
I would like to set faster loot or something. is it possible?
Do you know maybe something that will help me with it?
For me, the best thing would be when the player would have the possibility buy legendary weapon/armor (not random but specify)
ps: I’m using the newest version with all DLC on the GOG
There is a quest in FG for transmuting items. Basically you craft a set piece at a blacksmith, transmute it and hope for the best. It’s a bit resource heavy, but you can farm the eldritch essence in SR I think. You can find more info on this post: https://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83006
Basically transmuting means taking one Set item, and them transmuting it into either a random set item or another item from the same set.
Yes, I know it but still, we have to get an item from this specify set.
For now, I have only one - helmet. So I have to create a lot of helmets (this is very expensive) or I have to run to bosses and have a lot of luck.
This is very difficult. Too much difficult in my opinion.
You won’t get the option to buy Legendary sets apart from in the Shattered Realm for that particular set - or at least the blueprints for it.
Legendary drops are mostly random. You can have a look in the modding projects section to see if there are any that increase loot drops, but I don’t recall any offhand.
Another somewhat fast way to complete a set is trading. I never traded much myself but I know a guy who bought the game and a week later completed the set he wanted just by trading the stuff he didn’t need.
There’s a bunch of threads on this forum where you can trade your stuff with other players.
You could also take a look at the server browser once in a while to see if someone’s opened a trade server. Or open a trade server yourself if you got the time and patience. Or just ask any random person on any random server if they have what you need.
If you are lacking the items for a potential trade, you might wanna farm some Ugdenblooms and Eldritch Essences, many player accept those as payment as well.
There are many mods that increases drop rates tho, mine mod (MinDawn) increases drops also but probably not enough for your needs (its just slight increase there, but still an increase) and has alot of side-features u might not like, but im pretty sure there are released mods that only increase the drops (if i wont find one ill make one in the future probably)
A long time ago were a lot of mods for it but now it’s not working because these mods are incompatible.
Trade is not for me because if I would like to use trade with other players then I would play in MMO
In my opinion, the best thing we could have is trade with NPC where we could buy an ingredient for the legendary craft.
It would be not easy but it would be faster to get a complete set for our character.
