Have any of you noticed the similarities between Ellena’s story and Nina Tucker’s from FMA ?

During my first time in the lab, I read the notes and immediately thought of FMA. But the experience never culminated because I only noticed the boss’s name on my third time there.

But when I saw “Elenna, the first Slith” I immediately turned to my wife and said “Holy crap, this ***hole turned his daughter into a Slith! Remember that girl from FMA?”

I saw where it was going. I had the dread for the girl from the very start. Then there was a brief period of relief when you read that Hargate sent his wife and daughter away. “She’s safe, whew.”

Then they come back. And Hargate’s even more deranged. And the story just comes hurtling towards the awful inevitability.

Well done whoever writes this stuff. A lot of horror is packed into a relatively short space. The mother and daughter becoming wendigo (The Trip South) is another great example.
