lost ancient grove... :(

I reload my character with an old version of GD (1.0.2.0) and now I cannot access to ancient grove area.

How could I solve this problem? Any idea?

Ancient Grove came with 1.0.5, so of course its not in your 1.0.2 version of the game.

Just to get it straight - you somehow downgraded to 1.0.2.0, played your character there, and then you patched to 1.0.5.1 and you can’t access Ancient Grove anymore?

yes, now i can see in the map ancient grove but I cannot access to the area.:frowning:

Just to be perfectly clear what is your game version atm?

If it’s not 1.0.5.1 then try verifying game files/doing clean install

OK, I misunderstood. Is the path to the entrance gone? Or is the entrance isle gone? Or is the entrance there but clicking on it does nothing? Or is the entrance “locked by” something?

Yeah, screenshot please.

The only possible solution I can think of is
Steam Library -> GD Properties -> Local Files -> Verify integrity of game cache
If it doesn’t help then quite likely that your character data is permanently corrupted. According to some people there are risks of this happening when you attempt to jump versions, so it is adviced to make backups.

Also double-check that you’re on 1.0.5.1 (bottom right corner in the main menu).

I tried to recover the old quest.gdd, map.fow,conversiotion.gdd
but also in the backup version there is no ancient grove (I cannot enter).

I think the only possible solution is that someone at the ende of GD normal veteran gives me these files…
Please, let me know… :frowning:

You need to let us know which version of the game you are running. Lastly, file sharing is unnecessary just verify your game files

You are either at the wrong spot or you need to verify your game files/reinstall the game.

my version is now 1.0.5.1, but how could I verify integrity of game cache?

In Steam, go to Grim Dawn.
Right-click on Grim Dawn, select Properties.
Click Local Files tab.
Click Verify Integrity of Game Files.

If you’re on Steam: go to your Library, locate Grim Dawn, right-click and select “Properties”, then select the “Local Files” tab, then “Verify Integrity of Game Files”.

I have gog version

See https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/212807405-My-game-data-is-corrupt-How-can-I-repair-my-game- - if you do not use GOG Galaxy, then I assume you need to reinstall the game.

nothing happened, also with another character that I have downloaded… :frowning:
