M. Light's Defender could use some love

Good old light’s defender… if only it could defend as well as its name states with the mind boggling amount of 0% physical res. the set offers to us! - Sarcasm over.

Seriously tho… could this set pls get a bit of phys res on it’s set parts or as set bonus please? :face_holding_back_tears:

The storm totem side of the set could use a fair push in dmg as well, box & jax side is fine tho imo.

Cheers, Mergo! :clinking_glasses:

I think set needs some life regen aswell.

sets taking up 4-5armour slots and granting a fat 0 phys res should be illegal :unamused: - punishable under the Geneva Convention

anything to make this set be more sturdy is welcome rly.

I suggest something like +10% Physical Resist on Flame Touch or preferebly Mogdrogen’s Pact for 4p bonus, and/or add some too for the supporting item likeMythical Stormcage Legguards and others.

How much armor would Crate add to Light’s Defender to set the point “no Phys res”?..

Storm Totem part of the set is indeed bad. It might as well not be there as the only “bonus” to Storm Totems is a measly 24 flat from a helm, and no extra totem or flat CD to it.

I have tried the old school Light Defender/Stormreaver Vindicator (used to be one of the strongest builds back in Ashes of Malmouth) after Stormreaver got +2 to Inquisitor back and build was extremely underwhelming. Like it’s not even that fast in buffed Crucible and is somewhat slow in SR farming. Facetanking Ravager is also extremely hard with it.

Storm box part of the set is fine, imo.

Stun Jacks part is insane, Light Defender Purifier is one of the strongest spam-casters in-game.

About phys res, not sure. If you build it right you can have nearly 3k armor hard capped Inquisitor Seal and around 30 phys res. But then not all Light Defender archetypes can do it.

I would start with making Totem parts more meaningful, something like flat cd or/and duration would be welcome (and another damage bonus on full set).

No, just no.
Why?
Cuz that wouldn’t fix the overall issue of the set’s lack of phys res if you only make it available to a certain class.
That would leave other class combos without and we would be having the same old issue again.
Reason why I suggested adding the phys. res. to set parts / set bonus.

This.

Imo duration would be more welcome here cuz as it stands if u wanna go full totems (dagger, amulet & oh) you are forced into going druid for star pact cdr % cuz otherwise ur 6th totem disappears the moment ur last is summoned.

i like it, i use it on my LightsDefender Vindi, manages to get max totems out because of offhand and necklace and dmg feels ok, even if maybe not reaching "qualified"meta/you guys’ criteria speed. - not saying totem support couldn’t be “more”/better, but not needing to be there i disagree with since it woudl ruin my build completely :joy:
-and ofc getting the phys res too is part of sacrifice that impacts dmg there, since everything needs to come from devos basically outside the 8% possible on leg+boots

I didn’t say it shouldn’t be there, I said “it might as well not be there”. That meant that totems support is so weak that it’s barely noticable. Of course Storm Totems should and will always be a part of Light Defender set. My point is that current support is weak it needs some buffs.

How about buffing the repeatedly nerfed totems instead?

I know I’m about to ask for the moon, but how about a multi-summon totem mod on the set? Similar to the Cyclone complete set bonus. Just get em all out at once, would be pretty cool.

i like it, but also think it would be potentially incredibly strong
since then you could do the 6totem setup and actually not only manage to maintain all 6 totems, you could do so with much less effort/easily deal with your total cast(s) rotation since you just removed 1 cast every 3secs, into 1 cast every 14?secs

I agree it would be crazy strong. But cool haha.

My original thought was to change the Ludrigan additional duration bonus to this, but it works as a suggestion here, too.

The Storm Totem conduit could also get this effect or another supporting mod to help Light’s Defender. I know there was the issue of double conversion with this particular conduit resulting it crazy damage, but I think a potential change could provide an adequate boost to the set.
