This is getting stupid, on elite my level 80 can face tank every mob in the game, even nemesis due to insane lifetappage and sigils. can’t even get the queen to 90%
If i rush in and bleed dot her and run away without swinging weapon even one time she will heal more damage than she takes from that exchange, which means i have to run in circles dropping sigils- in other words try to pretend i’m an entirely different class.
My pyromancer killed a lvl 74 queen at lvl 70 without even getting hit. my level 80 2H chaos conjurer can’t even scratch her.
i find that extremely hard to believe. how did you survive her %hp attacks and keep her from healing? or were you using range 2h. i’m talking about 2h melee with no ranged attacks.
Killed her on Ultimte multiple times with 2h melee lightning savagery Warder. She does require some DPS, but not THAT much. The general rule t odefeat her is NOT to touch her while she has a red aura around. Other than this, she’s manageable for anything 2h melee with more than average dps. It just may take some time.
It’s a 2hander melee Druid. I can take a screenshot of her as the strongest monster i killed on Elite. If i could make a video of me killing her on Elite i would.
I do have 76% Life Leech Resist. Maybe that’s why i out dps her healing.
what is your character sheet dps? my warder on ultimate has 25k dps and 80% life leech resist, with 15k hp and gets absolutely stomped. though on elite (85 warder vs. 75 queen) i did destroy her.
but my chaos 2h guy gets completely wrecked, and i don’t have a clue how you stay away from red aura- when it pops on she insta-heals there’s no warning.
It’s a hard fought battle to be sure. My Commando did it but experienced 2 deaths. It had -25% life leech resist.
At 4:10 it died from being in melee range when the red aura was up. I feel with everything going on the aura is not that obvious. Any ranged spells done on her when the aura is up will cause a spike barrage retaliation. Rain of fire procced at 4:10 causing a shotgun death. My character dropped instantly.
At 7:43 she clearly lowered my resists. I’m unsure if she’s reflecting negative buffs done on here (reflecting War Cry) or wether she has another attack which lowers your physical resist/armour. Regardless you could tell my character was debuffed and those 2 swipes were instant KO as well.
The reality for melee is that you have to take a close look at the Queen’s status and a close look at your own status. Knowing when to engage is what’s left. But she seems to heal rather quickly when out of combat so DPS obviously helps. Not much more I can say.
At lv 68 I took her down pretty easily with my 2H bleeding warder. Just did my normal DS/GV then blitz in and drop totem. Few swings to build savagery charges, blade arc, heal pot, see pink aura and run. Once pot was off cool down and repeat. She died after the second round while I was waiting on the pot cool down. Haven’t made it to ultimate yet to see how she is there, though…
All classes are not created equal… Some builds are going to be better then others vs some monsters… I’m sure there are other mobs your conjure can drop faster than your warder or pyro (or will once equal level). Might need to tweak your conjure some to take her out… She is not required for the hidden path quest line which makes her an optional boss. The rare loot she drops won’t help your conjurer so not sure what the big deal is if you can’t take her out with your conjurer… Sounds like you have other characters that can farm her easier if that is a thing you want to do.
Personally I would find it more of an achievement (as killing her is really only for the achievement of doing so if you’re not looking for her rare items) to be able to find a way to take her out with a class that is hard to kill her, as opposed to just making her easier to kill. Again, just my personal opinion, but I like that fact that some mobs are easier/harder with some classes then others. It encourages building multiple characters, which this game is designed to do… Making mobs easy vs any character would wreck the diversity…
All judgements really ought to be saved until you face her on Ultimate. It’s a whole other story. I’ve roflstomped her on Elite three times now leveling older characters I had temporarily shelved, none of which can scratch her now on Ultimate. How Ultimate scales so differently is puzzling to me since I had no trouble with any other bosses. Out of what I consider my good 85 characters, I have not had the patience to figure out what exactly I’m doing wrong when I can kill the clone army and the avatar but not her. With the healing, it’s an annoying fight I think for most builds.
hmm I’m playing 2handed melee commando atm
in my case, I easily melted her in elite, (my level was about…70-74 I guess)
and now, I became much stronger in elite, lv70-ish time,
now I’m lv.84 and my sheet dps is over 53k (when buffed on) and when battle, maximum over 63k, 3200OA/2300DA
and about health? over 16k health and got more than 84% res of piercing, bleeding, poison, chaos( does she deals chaos?, whatever)
my weakpoint would be -25% life leach res, but that’s all.
perhaps I didnt know she rampages (with red aura?)
I was just hit and run and didn’t kill her and died once eventually
hmm, guys, what’s the problem do you think?
the problem is my control? ( or ignorant of red-danger sign? )
Your problem probably is, like to many others, that bitch is a DPS check. You got to provide tremendous bursts of damage in a short term in the “fight breaks”. On ultimate she got her defenses so high, that you need an impressive DPS to damage her more than she will outleech in her red phase. No bitching around, pathetic maneuvers or running in circles, or it’s over. No sheet DPS, but true damage (weapon/skill) in very, very high numbers.
She appears to have pretty high leech res, effective lifesteal is imaginary without massive resistance reduction, insane amounts of lifesteal and extreme damage.
since I watch carefully her angry sign, I can avoid fatal dmg of her shotgun retaliation.
but, I can’t deal enough dmg to overwhelm her healing self, and life leeching.
as I said, I have sheet-dps 53k when just standing with 5 buffs,
and when I’m in battle, I reach over 60k maximum.
my commando deals with firestirke (reduce -20% chaos/fire res with eldrich fire bounded on flashbang) + rain of fire, meteor shower
I did hit and kite about 10 mins, but can’t even down her hp well
yeah maybe its first time facing her in ultimate,
my fighting was bad, but I guess its too much…
my problem with that is that she is SUCH a joke for ranged, she has no charge, and her spines just hit the wall. my pyro killed her without getting hit, and my poisoner killed her in 2 rotations (both on elite), and i realize on ultimate she will be harder, but i think she’ll be harder for MELEE, and identical for ranged.
imo she’s a little too difficult for melee, being SO much harder than every Nemesis with a much lower drop rate seems silly, but that’s just my opinion. I also have not completed Dalia’s quest chain so can’t compare her to the Devil’s Crossing boss etc.
i think she’ll be harder for MELEE, and identical for ranged.
yeah I think this is problem, too
melee build may need some way of defeating her
madqueen gives homework, and users solving this with various ways.
its natural this homework should be more difficult to some builds.
but the difference gap should be decent.
sry for my bad english, can’t express my opinion well.
however, some ppl said,
they can defeat her with no major problems with melee char.
so I want to know
how my build sucks for her atm, or am I playing suck,
heard of real dealing dmg is more important than sheet-dps.
of course, I know that.
but my sheet-dps looks not bad, and its only for firestrike so I could deal more,
but still seems can’t deal enough dmg to her, dont know why <- this is the most problem for me atm.
Undoubtedly, yes. The advantage to be still able to damage her while the melee toon got to retreat, is immense. Also constant damage over time with kiting, negating her leech.
What also annoys me is that she tolerates softcore and/or imbalanced characters. And waves a finger at balanced builds.
99.9 % true. However, I made this character especially to be able to finish Ultimate with 0 deaths while dealing high damage. Trust me, even in Softcore I would not hesitate to delete him from existence along with what I believe to be 100+ legendaries if he died once. Look at the bottom of the picture - I’m starting to make a collection of those claws:
