At what large number of constelations we have to choose from, 55 points seems a little to under the line…10 more points would be very fair. VERY !
And 10 points is not that much if u think about it, cause u cant go with all color constelations cause u wont have the required needed for the big constelations, so, my guess, is that those extra 10 points would be spent on defense constelations, small ones, with small bonuses.
The game is very very challenging at Ultimate, or in Gladiator Crucible. 10 points will not OP anyone unless they are using cheats. At least 50% of players are using trainers, editors, mods or any kind of hack/cheat that goes over the games initial limits, and its kinda stupid, it ruins it for rest of players.
Not saying that 10 dev points more will stop them, but maybe some, or at least half of them.
105 Atribute points
This one seems even more unfair - and to be honest i used a trainer for my blademaster to add some spirit, cause otherwise, at max level, i would not have had enough to use rings and amulets, which is very…sad…
After level 75 or lets say max 80 you should get 2 points per level, and leveling up from level 99 to 100 should give 5, like a reward for maxing out char.
Would not be a very large bonus, would not OP any char, but would be a very fair bonus for the char at what challenges we have on ultimate diff.
244 Skill points - seems close to fair, but 10-15 more wouldn’t hurt and would be a very small bonus in overall game.
Part of the fun is the balancing act you have to do to balance offense and defense. You don’t want to be able to get too many good/major offensive and defensive devotions, part of the fun is you have to choose, you have to give up good options to get other good options.
There are ways to get around spirit requirement, you could get gear with some spirit and/or put points into devotions that give you some spirit, for example pretty great pants and really great pants are popular options.
What’s stopping you from removing some points from phys or cunning to add to spirit instead of using a trainer? It’s not like the few points would make such a huge difference.
20 more points would be difference
20x8 = 160 attribute points
With the %cunning, %phys bonuses from items/dev points it would actually make a little diff, but not an OP one for what chalenges the game gives
What I find annoying is that I often have to waste devotion points on - to my character, useless- constellations, just to get at the ones I need to reach. Both my Conjurer and Cabalist had to spend points on constellations that are of not much use, because the pet-specific constellations are all over the star map, and you need points from each color to unlock them. This has actually gotten worse in the expansion. Why is Typhus and his Staff on two different corners of the map???
I wouldn’t say any of my Conjurer’s devotions are useless.
Askeron’s Scorpion (Briarthorn)
Eye of the Guardian (Revenant)
Vulture
Manitcore (Hellhound)
Falcon (Primal Spirit)
Lion
Typhos
Rattosh (Chillmane)
Eel
Staff of Rattosh
Remove P, E & C points from Crossroads
Wolverine (4 pts)
Vulture, Falcon and Eel benefit my toon, the rest benefit my pets.
Huh, I could swear they had the same name. My bad.
Sure, I too assign constellations with damaging AoE celestial powers to my various pets, but there are many others now after the expansion with proper pet-boost powers that would be more preferable. Raven, Fiend, Jackal also boost pets (latter two mostly Hellhound) for example, and I would prefer to add points to similar types of constellations to unlock the latter more powerful ones. The Manticore I also only got to unlock Mogdrogen the Wolf, but otherwise it is a constellation far better for a poison-damage Nightblade or Occultist.
Btw, where can you get a Chillmane pet? I know about the relics that give you the Crab Spirit, Stormhound and Nemesis, is there another permanent pet-giving Relic? Guess I have not found the blueprint for that yet.
Well, my Conjurer is a cut down version of JayNyne’s Lazy Pokemon one which is quite an old build now, but it was the only toon I had which I was able to use to playtest the expansion straightaway. So I rejigged some of the devotions to get Typhos, Rattosh and the Staff. The build did originally have Raven and Jackal, Sheperd’s Crook and Bonds of Bysmiel, but the first two didn’t work to get to the new devotions and the last two I don’t have enough skills for - the build is literally the pets plus Blood of Dreeg. A real lazy build - only have to hit Primal Spirit and Blood regularly and that’s it. I wasn’t looking to find the best setup, only to test the new devotions.
The Chillmane which is a yeti comes from the Heart of the Mountain necklace.
Thanks, I found it on the wiki since then. One more item I have yet to find, I guess.
I never really check builds here, I prefer to make my own. I will probably add Rattosh and his staff (they ARE indeed on two different sizes of the map) with my Cabalist, since Rattosh adds Vitality pet damage%, which the Skeletons need. But for my Conjurer I think Mogdrogen the Wolf is better. Typhos I did get with my Conjurer too, by taking points out of Manticore and using the extra 5.
