Make the choice between Duncan or Angrim matter more

We’re told by the story these two gives, that one favors magic while the other doesn’t,
but as far as i can tell, that’s where it all stops in terms of crafting items.
I can’t tell if i get more “stonehide” when crafting with either Duncan or Angrim,
but i would like it if the choise was more important to the way you plan the character,
and what type of gear you might want to craft.

If a player choses Duncan, items crafted by him should, imo, have a superior %chance
to be imbued with elemental properties, while Arngrim should offer the player crafted
items with - for example - Stonehide enchant.

Even IF by a small %chance that you could get a Stonehide enchant on an item crafted by Duncan,
the enchant should be no way near as potent as one made by Angrim.

So… i don’t know how the current “game data” handles the differense in crafting between
these two smith’s, but i would like to see that the choise in which one to keep, matters more.

What about other blacksmiths? Imo if you change them, you should change others as well.

Duncan and Angrim are the only smith’s with a quest to get them,
hence the decision should only impact those 2 smiths.

imo all the other smith’s should remain neutral.

That’s cause you don’t get more stonehide with one or the other… That isn’t what they imply when you read “one favors magic and the other doesn’t”.

The only impact the smith has on crafting is the “smith bonus”. Each smith has a special bonus that applies to all items crafted from that particular smith.

Though it really doesn’t matter much since any player who once choosed Duncan can login with that character and craft the necessary item. It’s all about the crafting bonus nothing else.

Here is a list of what bonuses all blacksmiths provide, for the record: https://grimdawn.gamepedia.com/Blacksmith

Some bonuses are quite small. I wish 3% Crit Damage was more significant.
Maybe increase Duncan’s bonuses? Include some more Spirit?
Should be small enough for us not to all switch to Duncan, but slightly more appealing for Casters I would say.

All of them all small and insignificant  I usually take run speed when I sometimes miss it or cap some CC res.

It becomes more significant when you have 3-4 or perhaps more items that are craftable in a character. 6-12% crit damage or 6-16% armour for a few examples matters quite a bit.

Yes devs should look at them and redo them. Resistances are too low, health bonus is a joke, OA, DA bonus should be higher or skipped entirely if we could have % cunning and spirit added. Some are also more than once there. I would like to see the possibility of AS, CS, racial damage, % cunning and spirit…

Followed closely by frantic demands for “blacksmith bonus rerolling” feature, yes?

Ideally

What additional property do you wish to have on the helm, sir? - Angrim asked politely.
