my argument for it is, it is instant if you restart the games session. so why waste time with pseudo immersion if the “optimal” way is just to restart…
personal vendetta against this quest since today 
Quest resolve instantly, ever if you not restart session.
Simply leaving town for a while will also “reset” it.
I mean, just teleport to DC, speak with Darlet the Inventor and voila - all done?
teleporting didn’t unlock it in the conclave.
@ XandeRoot does it instantly unlock it at the other NPCs ? didn’t try that, if that works then that’s fine, and a second reason to unlock it instantly at the conclave NPC =P
because if it is a immersion reason and not a technical limitation then this breaks immersion anyways xD
Yes it does. My guess would be that Kargon gets “replaced” with his Inventor “copy” upon you leaving the Conclave, because you first need his “talk” copy in order to turn in the quest. That’s just me spitballing, though.

ok if it’s a technical limitation then that’s the way it is, and there are 2 options to go around that.
if it’s that way for “immersion”, then this breaks apart when you just teleport to any of the other NPC, because i didn’t bring any of them a tome.
so my point remains the same.
