Just finished Valbury, met Katrine, who is going…To Malmouth?
Found it mentioned on a couple of items, the Magistrate’s Censor and the Empowered form.
A few lore notes mention it, notably [SPOILER]The Harbormaster’s Log that mentions “sending word up the lake” to fetch an inquisitor.
Not clear WHAT lake, as that’s in Burrwitch…And the areas near it are explored. Unless they mean that small ocean in the middle of the map, in which case, that’d explain the odd lines on the map near the top right of the…Lake?[/spoiler]
Does anyone know more about this? Or is it just a town that they’re mentioning, but we don’t get to see?
Before Port Valbury came out I was sure that it will be the town north of Burrwitch (you can see resemblance of buildings and docks on the portal map). But since Valbury has been moved near the coast of Homestead, now I’m pretty sure that Malmouth is that town north and that the expansion will take us there to find out what the Aetherials are up to. For what purpose they needed all those people taken from Valbury and what the Aetherial known as the “shaper of flesh” is going to do with them. :eek:
And i don’t know how you guys can be sure. Valbury’s position on the map makes me wonder if those ruins above Burrwitch indeed are Malmouth. They could be Korvaak’s Ruins
