Malmouth start bugged in burrwitch

I’ve got the Malmouth expansion, I finished act 5 in normal, and now playing through on elite. I killed Loghorrean, went back to fort Ikon, got the malmoth quests (main quest is now “Desperate Measures”), ported to burrwitch village, headed north to the estates up the main road north, only to find that the path leading north-east out of burrwitch estates is blocked by burning debris, rather than open.

I have tried restarting from main menu, verifying my game files from steam, and no go.

Here’s a screenshot of the spot where I should be able to travel north to get to the aetherial barrier.

I was planning on jumping to ultimate difficulty, but I wanted to get Creed’s pendant out of my inventory and pick up the first portal before moving on to ultimate.

You’re not at the barricade. Another path leads there.

That’s not even the entrance to Act 5, it’s northeast from where you are. You also need Creed’s pendant to destroy the barrier.

You need to find another path, if the random barriers are placed like this. :wink:

No further restarts required, although the fires will eventually be located elsewhere if you keep restarting.

Sigh. I swear that was where I went through the last time. Found the route. Issue solved.
