Malmouth Trio is by far the worst boss encounter in both cr and sr

I think many will agree here.
they’re slow, deal low damage, have constant dr, like to spread out (so time to kill goes up 3x) and have an annoyingly huge area buff on death.
is it interesting and fun to fight them? no.
is it at least a hard and challenging encounter? also no.
just 3 absolutely boring damage sponges that slow down your run.

solution? honestly, i’d love to see them removed and replaced with at least a more active boss.

Yes. Same with 3 idiots at end of valbury. No challenge, no interesting mechanics, just massive sponges that wear out your mouse. I hate them. How they ever ended up being the boss of a key dungeon I will never understand

Nervous about starting yet another Loxmere thread, but there is a recently promoted Aethereal Faction boss who would be happy to step in.

What would make a boss interesting / fun / challenging? This isn’t an attempt to disregard your opinion, but trying to establish parameters.

A multi-unit boss that has buff effects on death is interesting in that it rewards AoE and switching prioritizing targets. Brainlessly smashing keyboard into monster groups for maximum damage - as opposed to smart targeting of enemies - should be punished, and the on-death buff is a good way to do so.

The constant DR is boring, and they do need some type of dangerous attack, but most of the time, the top-end builds just kill the monsters before they activate the attacks anyway.
