Manticore Deathstalker, wtf is that damage :)

Guys, post the builds you did it with. Because for me that Basilisk dude wasn’t even that memorable untill you have mentioned it here. Both for my Druid and my Defiler (you can find grimtools list in my fist post). Very curious what melee build had problems with Basilisk but facetanked Gargabol all the way thru his second stage.

Facetanks Slathsarr and Deathstalker, Gargabol teleports me to Coven’s Refuge: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/RVvq30E2

Maybe overcapping Chaos resist? It’s one of his main damage types and the GT link doesn’t it show any overcap.

Wait, the flat resist reduction modifier to War Cry on the weapon stacks with two copies equipped? Neat.

Surprise, it was me, 2% overcap!

Definitely enough to handle resist reduction effects.

Hm, both Manticore and Basilisk weren´t a problem as far as I remember (maybe one Health Potion), but because it was my first visit and didn´t know what to expect, I didn´t facetank anything but used Hit-and-Run.

On the other hand, Garbagol…I freely admit I consumed a lot of elixirs. Poison, Fire, Chaos, Aether, Life/Energy. Had to run several times and was hitting my RMB the whole time (PB), sometimes only “shooting” with Devouring Swarm and Grasping Vines. Had to use Blade Barrier once.

Is it really Chaos Damage? I thought, it was Fire…if I had known, I would have changed my Medal…

According to Grimtools, Gargabol deals physical, fire, chaos, and acid.

Okay, I think it was the Fire Damage from the spawned adds (plus flames) which bothered me…and his SMASH. 17k HP to 6k…bye, I´m running. :stuck_out_tongue:

So, how that kitty attack? Can he use SS ?

He’s just like that Ekket’Zul jackass! Except slower and easier to see :stuck_out_tongue:

just my belgo, but 3.2K DA and more hp.

Was cause of fumble. Maybe they toned it down. Had basically no life steal in testing

Ah, OK, thanks.

Well, when not high I kill him with Druid for 32 seconds. Flamedrinker potion ftw!

Cause of phys res i Think. Belgo had ~30% so that is why garbaboll was ok

Grimtools resists are wrong, I have everything except stun capped.
Tanks the Manticore and Basilisk, not gonna attempt Galgabor cause I’m scared of shotgun one shots (HC).

That manticore didn’t bother me at all, was quite surprised after reading this thread. Not really any stronger than any random manticore hero.

My experience as well. Died with a character with under 10% really fast, even though it had plenty of DA and couldn’t be crit. Definitely need quite a bit of phys resist to make this fight safe.

He deals quite heavy physical damage, so i wouldn’t try to tank his overhead slap unless you are super tanky or just have stuff like Mirror. His shotgun also deals a lot of damage, but he actually takes a bit to use it (as in the animation is slow).

It did half my HP :
Manticore Deathstalker

Fortunately it died 9s later

That is what I thought as well, “manticore seems easy, dunno what they’re talking about on forums”, then he 1 shot me in the next run lol.

lol

Manticore Deathstalker, like it’s name…
Even with defensive setup, it can bring my health below half
Fighting Manticore Deathstalker Again

It deals 15% of your current health every 9 seconds. It’s base damage on auto attacks, at level 100, is 2735 - 3431 (physical + pierce + acid + bleeding + poison). It also reduces physical, poison and bleeding resist by 16% (aura buff). True, it hits hard, but I could not die by any means on it with my tanky DK or squishy as F Spellbinder. It’s a problem with your gear. I like how it can shred your HP to 50% with two attacks and then scratch you a bit in the next few ones. Also, considering it may drop a powerful relic blueprint makes it understandable that it has massive damage. But even though, I think its damage should be increased and the monster should be classified as a boss.

Monster info, relic info.
