In case you don’t know what you’re looking at: that tiny little spike shooting out from my body is Massacre’s proc.
The damage went down significantly with the loss of the 24% weapon damage (~1000 bleed damage loss with current sheet bleed values), and to be honest, there wasn’t any damage there to begin with.
Here’s what the stats look like on a decked out bleed Warder (sheet bleed damage is ~7000 after the Guillotine fix):
This pitiful little spike would be great… If there were 8-12 of them and they shot out from your body radially. The damage isn’t all that spectacular, so a change like that wouldn’t be unreasonable. Do I really need to keep saying that this relic is a level 90 mythical relic? You can’t massacre anything with that tiny little spike.
Is the change a step in the right direction? Yes. Does the proc still need additional buffs? Definitely.
Its definitely a step in the right direction versus the orb granted skill but you’re right, the one little beebee flying out in a single direction is a bit underwhelming no matter how much damage it does or doesn’t do.
As a level 90 proc, visually and damage wise, its a bit weak. I agree with the OP to bump up the excitement a little and make it either like the Falcon devotion proc (4-5 blades in a 30 degree arc) or like Assassin devotion in 360 degrees with a little less damage maybe.
I mean if it can be procced by bleeding ticks it looks pretty good for on hit proc, except I would make it more about burst damage (physical) and less about DOT.
No, I would prefer that we got some 360° AoE along the same lines of Dreeg’s Afflicted Spines or Assassin’s Blades. Bleed builds have very little 360° AoE damage, and a proc like this would be a godsend.
It cannot proc off of bleed ticks. It was proccing off of Devouring Swarm’s debuff ticks.
Slightly off- topic but relic related. Would like to add to this that Octavius/Internal trauma builds have suffered quite a lot from the changes to Doom relic (and i’m playing with oleron’s Rage btw). even if it weren’t an internal trauma build I wouldn’t pick doom over oleron.
