Following multiple balance nerfs in testing, a bit of extra chaos damage could help this build feel better to play
Now, I don’t play pets, so bear with me.
But why exactly would a Necromancer want chaos damage on Master of Death?
You may not have noticed that the title is about adding a bonus to the chaos damage for pets.
Because curses increase the reduction of chaos resistance, Cabalist can play chaos damage pets build.
I did see that. However, nothing in a Necromancer suggests Chaos damage. Now, if you had mentioned Aether damage or maybe Cold, then perhaps. Acid / Poison and Vitality are all ‘in house’ damage types.
Hence, why exactly Chaos?
Then I’d sooner argue for improving the Occultist side of it, where Chaos does fit. This is just making a non-thematic change for the sake of buffing a build that (far as I know) does not particularly need to be buffed.
It might also cause unintended double dipping via Chaos Damage converted to …, such as Stormbringer of Malmouth or Draccaris
I feel like Occultist should have always had a pet exclusive skill. 99% of the time there is no real decision to be made whether to pick master of death or primal bond.
So with chaos devs should add there % ele dmg too just bcs it’s on vulnerability? No? Why? A bit weird logic
