After you reach level 94, there is only 6 levels to go! You reach level 100? Say hello Grim Dawn cause you can no longer level up! So what is the point then?
I think the Dev team really must rise max level cup some!
Why? They’ve said several times they want characters to be finished and not continually progressing/gaining levels. Plus increasing the level cap means a new tier of items have to be made and balanced.
Grim Dawn BEGINS at lvl 94!
I see no reason to raise lvl cap as most builds, at 94 or 100, utterly crush the campaign. If they raise the cap they have to raise stats of enemies too as it will become too easy then
Nope.
/10char.
Hey! I wanted to say that…
This. No one wants their gear that they’ve collected over the course of Ashes of Malmouth and Forgotten Gods to suddenly become weaker or even useless. This is why Crate didn’t increase the level cap in the recent expansion.
If you want a higher level cap, you can try mod it in but it is not happening for the game itself.
At Level 100, you have a couple options of where to go - you can either farm for stronger gear for your character, test your character against some of the end game content (Nemeses/Secret Bosses/Superbosses, Crucible, Shattered Realm) or you can start a new character with some of the gear you’ve likely collected on your previous character(s).
There’s more to do in this game besides leveling up.
Seriously. The level cap is just a number. Changing it arbitrarily does not automagically makes the game more fun.
On the other hand, every time that number is touched, the devs need to spend a lot of time taking care of everything. For no benefit other than maintaining the status quo at a new numeric environment. The same time could have been better spent elsewhere and give us actual and real new stuff (like a new patch, or even Grim Dawn 2).
not sure what that has to do with anything… if the level cap were 120 you could make the same argument for 114
What is the argument here anyway, that you only have 6 levels to gain while having the highest tier gear equipped ? What difference does that make ? Would you be ok with the current level progression if the highest level gear were 84 ? and if so, why ?
How about lowering the level cap to 94 instead? HA!

no level cap increase. But rather personally I pretty much prefer having more devotion constellations(not points) so that I can stop having about almost the same set of devotion skills everytime We have enough skill points and attributes but not enough devotions variety to mess the 55around with.
the only reason we don’t see much variety in constellations is because it’s all about getting the big T3 and mandatory RR ones.
when you reach lvl 100, its not the time to ‘level up’ anymore!
its time to hunt the best gears for your builds! or choose another character and play it until its lvl 100!
grim dawn is meant to have a definite end. this also makes the gameplay balanced.
and there’s a reason why grim dawn has a LOT of inventory/private stash/shared stash slots! use them to gear up different builds into their max!
use. those. slots. fill it up with crafting materials, best Monster Infrequent items, best mythical & legendary items for many builds.
make your army. grim dawn is not meant to end at a single godlike 1-man/woman army. grim dawn wants you to build an army of godlike 1-man/woman army!
I doubt Crate will increase max level. The latest expansion shows the desire to add more end game stuff.Plus increasing the cap will affect existing gear and monster scaling
