[melee][1.0.2.1](u)(c+)(g5)(v(soon)) LifeSteal/Healreg Acidhunter - Demigod of Dots, Tanky DPS

Hey, this Buildguide is WIP.
330k Dots on Nemesis Bosses - np  granted: you need your 4 highest poison dots to be crit for such numbers but it happens and is very satisfying.
Most of the bosses dont live long enough to ramp up your dots to max tho.

I’m able to facetank 95% of the game, while dealing absurd dps.

c+ above 100 requires some kiting, also Kuba wants to be kitet a bit when he splits. But he dies very fast. Mad queen is a joke etc. etc.

Don’t expect to kill Superbosses without heavy adjustments.

This build focuses around Shadow Strike as an unmachted movement skill and main damage source, very high dots and massive resist debuffing. It has many last man standing procs as well, very high healreg and lifesteal up to 89%.

With Pneumatic Burst, Blood of Dreeg and Solaels Fate

Shadow Strike and Healreg with 1 healproc active

Healreg with Pneumatic Burst and Blood of Dreeg. 100% uptime

Gameplay:

Normal Pack: Just charge in and hope for a crit dot and move on.
Yellows: Right click Curse of Frailty at range and charge in.
Pack with Orange: that is where i use my other active Skills but it is not realy needed.
Purple: definitly use all your active skills Dreeg’s Infinite Gaze, Ravager’s Deathgaze, Curse of Frailty, Plague of shattered Souls and watch it melt. Most of the time you can just ignore ground aoe and stuff, you will outheal it, even in crowded packs. Dont get too careless tho, you control a DPS-Machine, not an Utratank.
Nemesis: Depends, but i killed them all i came across so far.
BOC: didnt try to facetank Sharzuhl but it might be doable if you move out of the aoe’s. Otherwise charge, kite, rinse repeat. Fast kill.
SOT: Mostly facetank but if you stand in his pools while at 50% hp only, he might kill you if you are unlucky. but moving a few meters out of his pools then and there doesnt hurt to much ;p
Valebury something: First try completion, doesnt remember much, didnt feel too hard. Wasnt rewarding or fun either :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

If you struggle to kill something remember: As we have awesome dot capabilitys, charging in and kite until we can charge again is a very valid, still fast and save method to down anything except Superbosses.

QOL:
i am lazy and keep my heals on cooldown with a macro. So if you are a dedicated key stroker you might be even more effective than me.
I do fire all active skills with one Mousebutton at once too. I like QOL Stuff.
So all i need to do is to use 3 Buttons at my mouse, very chillin  dont blame me.

Damage: Acid, Poison, (Chaos)
Active Skills: Shadow Strike, Pneumatic Burst, Blood of Dreeg, Dreeg’s Infinite Gaze, Ravager’s Deathgaze, Curse of Frailty, Plague of shattered Souls
Passive Skills: Possession, Solael’s Witchfire, Veil of Shadows, Venomancers Aura, Envenomed Weapons, Malediction
WPS Skills: Belgothian’s Shears, Amarasta’s Quick Cut, Whirling Death and Execution

Devotion Binding:

Shadow Strike -> Tainted Erruption (Main Damage Source)
Scorpion Sting -> Belgothians Shears, AQC or Whirling Death
Acid Spray -> Belgothians Shears, AQC or Whirling Death

Grimtool:

Seems a bit bugged tho, ingame all resist are capped ecxept stun! healreg is also higher, just check the screenies for real stats.

I accidently ran into Kuba last evening without knowing the fight and killed it with only 2 deaths in about 2 mins or so. next kill will be deathless. that was the point where i decided to share the build as i read alot of rants about kuba beeing to strong.

to be continued, ist my first guide. It might take a week or two, got some vacations now. cheers:)

how do you regen with that build ? no haunted steel and it’s melee

With Blood of Dreeg and Pneumatic Burst running, the HP regen is 1150 and with proc buffs the HP regen jumps to 2032.

So if I’m reading this correctly, this build can’t beat Ravager yet it requires his gear drop? How exactly are we supposed to get Deathgaze? By already having it from killing him on a (presumably better) character?

Otherwise this build looks cool. I dig the Nidalla’s Hidden Hand 18/8. Can’t tell if your main damage is coming from Acid or Poison cause it seems like you’re focusing on Acid with Malediction relic choice over Dreeg’s Affliction, but if that were the case you should be focusing more on attack speed since you only hit 170% with Ghoul.

exactly, also haunted steel is not a lifereg but leech and not needed. With all buffs running i have 89% lifeleech. The LiveVersion has 2138 lifereg full buffed even.

Malediction are don’t stack with manticore

ist like 60%acid/40%Posion regarding the second stats tab. this is without abomination proc running. More ATS is always nice but tell me how i get this into this build without sacrificing resist or general defense. i might use prismatic Diamond in the helmet if i find better rolled resis on gear but i didnt check that in Detail.

For the Hood: make a public game, ask for help. Profit. a guy managed to facetank ravager while keeping agro, so i could full dps. otherwise, trade or have a second ultratank on your account.

but you dont realy Need it, you have several gear choices.
myth stealth jacket of the venomblade + helmet is almost on paar with the linked Version.

dreeg’s affliction should be a viable choice but on paper i like malediction more and i had it available.

i know but it doesnt realy matter, we want as much flat acid/poison damage as possible. there isnt a perfect relic for this build tho, tested a few.

Maybe i seem silly, but if this build facetanks almost all bosses with so nice dps and sick hp regen, why it cant kill ravager solo?
Dont take me by mistake i havent fought ravager yet in any of my chars so there may be something that eludes me about the boss mechanics

because ravager hits like a truck

The build is advertised to be tanky but it gets one shot from ravager?

What’s your Point? It is the hardest Boss ingame, by far. You have to build around it like mogdrogen. It also has 3 Versions, if you are able to kill nr.1 doesnt mean you can kill the other two as well with the same build.

also i dont claim this build to be a tankspec. ist just quite tanky, you know?

The build is tanky but it still suffers in Physical damage department due to lack of armor absorption
OP’s build is solid as fuck though despite the limitation of lacking armor absorb mainly because he’s using a DoT character.

To the OP, this is just my opinion but if you plan to use Ravager’s head then mention he’s a super boss and mention an alternative.

Back to the topic, this build should be able to do the Ravager solo if one is careful enough. Don’t expect to tank him, he shreds a 3k armor and 15% Physical resistance build to pieces with his punches.
Ravager is a super boss, if you’re not aware what those are then Super Bosses (specifically Ravager and Mogdrogen) are the strongest bosses in the game that are not doable by all builds, and even with builds designed to kill them special prep is required

The final Guide will have a few alternative gear-choices. allready mentioned in one of my comments is the Myth Venomblade Helmet/Chest Combo.

Thx for your Optinion. I dont claim this build to be perfect. I am open for any suggestions. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m quite surprised to not see Lethal Assault in the build. I thought it’s an acid/cold staple. Does it make the build worse? I think the bonuses are nice.

will test it.

Added some Screenshots. Vids coming soon. cheers.
