Hello all and merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!
Unfortunately, my family and I are sick but hey - at least I have some time to play this beatiful game again ^^
I currently have a town with around 1.4k pop and 12 full barns but there is something strange going on with my milk production:
Every time I load the game, each barn produces ~1k milk. Over the course of ~3-5 years, milk production steadily decreases to about 200 milk / barn…
When I save and load the game, this pattern repeats: Barns produce a lot of milk once I load the save and as the years pass my barns produce less and less milk. Below you’ll find 2 screenshots (2 sessions) showing this issue (Note: “Milch” is german for “milk”)
Please note that I did not touch/modify the barns in any major way! They were always fully staffed with full food storages. Also, it’s always the same behaviour: I load in, milk production skyrockets then slowely drops off as I keep playing…
In the second session I moved one barn around a few times to see if that fixes the issue for that one but no changes. In fact, here is a list of things I have tried with it:
- Moving the barn (rotating + putting it inside the cows enclosures)
- Unstaffing + restaffing
- Making a hole into the enclosure fences
At this point, I’m convinced it is a bug. However, I found no other reports of this sort of behaviour.
Below you’ll find a link to the save file in question:

Steps to reproduce: Simply load the save, leave it running for a few years then check the milk production in the resources tab. You should see a production history that looks similar to the two I posted.
