Mini Tower Defense Game which uses your characters as towers

First of all sorry for my bad english as its not my native language.
I just have an idea that when we are bored of main game and crucible, we can play a TD game which characters def against waves of beasts, aetherials, bosses etc… (like War3 custom map, I really love class of clans or You TD because the devs add rpg aspect, like tower leveling and can equip items, items drop from killing mobs/craft, resistant of mobs is random each wave) which uses your characters as towers (killing mobs drop iron bit, you buy and set position for them, gaining level, class and gears, for example casters hit further and deal massive aoe than melee but less dmg, some special spells gain from items drop), well I think we can use characters import from main game or like crucible did or create a new fresher. I know its still shallow but thinking of it not a bad idea at all :p.
Thanks for your reading, will adding images later.

Sounds pretty much like Crucible. Not played a tower defense game so not sure what the differences would be. But the devs are working on a GD related game at the moment.

How do you know it’s GD related?

I thought it was a new IP?

Because Medierra said so at the beginning of March. I think it’s going to use a different engine, but based on GD.

“We also are planning another “spin-off” game that is based on GD but a somewhat different kind of game.”

Tower Defense games are pretty vastly different. They are top down, management styled games focusing on, as the name suggests, using Towers to Defend from waves of monsters. Usually they include ways to shape a path that the monsters follow, and an objective to keep them from reaching.

Crucible is just regular GD, with waves. That’s basically it.

+1 to the idea, OP. Would be interesting. Especially if you can import your own characters, or import characters out. Would probably be a fan made kind of thing though, I can’t see any way for Crate to sell such a thing.

Nah, it wouldn’t be interesting. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing did this and TD sections felt like a drag, alien to the core gameplay.

Making it part of GD would be awful. Making it a separate, related game, is different. There’d be no “sections”, just a separate game. Kind of like how Hearthstone is related to WoW, but they’re both different games.

Sounds like the job for a mod!
