GD is running great on the SD except for some minor issues.
I had a resolution error when I started a game (since last update it’s gone?)
And when I start GD (x64) on the SD the selection in the main menu and elsewhere in the menu’s is offset.
Offset selection Main menu
The Difficulty menu is selected but the “mouse” is at the bottom of the screen (exit).
If I go lower with the d-pad or joystick it disappears and I can’t select any thing.
One thing I probably should have included in the write up Medea posted above is that you can get “gamepad control” working in most any place that doesn’t work right by pressing “DPAD - Right”. I don’t know why that works, but none of the other dpad directions work and buttons don’t work either.
So when I try everything from the notes I can also try to change the proton version.
It might take some time before I can try it though…
At the moment I’m abroad for work.
Wanted to try everything suggested in the notes between flights but alas didn’t go as planned.
Small update:
Had some time before I had to work.
I tried to clear the 2nd row of controller key bindings… But I couldn’t do this because of the “offset” issue I have.
I tried Proton experimental, 7.x, and 6.x same results.
When I have time again I will try to verify the game files first.
So I have two Steam Decks and two versions of Grim Dawn (GOG and Steam). I’m assuming you are on steam, so I checked that one - it is using the default.t. In other words, when I go to properties->compatibility, it shows an UNCHECKED entry for “Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool”.
Not sure what fixed the issue…
But after a verify of the game files, I noticed that the resolution was on 1920 instead of 1280x800.
After I changed it back the offset issue is gone.
So now I’m not sure if it already was on the wrong resolution before I did the verify or after.
I’m sure I checked it because of the previous issue.
But either way I’m happy, I tried your notes and it looks like it’s working.
