Mod for Removing Map Fog

Is there a mod or map file for download that will reveal the entire map to me?

I don’t memorize maps too well so this would be awesome if such a thing exists.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can download the attachment and extract it. The fow file goes in your saves folder.
In my case, My Games\Grim Dawn\save\main_[NAME]\levels_world001.map[DIFFICULTY]
You’ll need to do it for each character and difficulty.
As far as I know my fog map is complete including the new Kra’vall boss area.

Well I did this and it reset my map fog… :furious:

That’s okay though, not a big deal.

It reveals all the map removing the fog. At least that’s what I undestood you wanted.
If you were asking for a map outside the game, there is https://the-maphack.com/index.php?page=2#1

That is what I asked for but when I used the file you provided to overwrite my own map file my map reset instead of revealing itself.

I am aware of the external map, I was just pointing out that I followed your instructions and copied the file you sent me to the appropriate places but it had the opposite effect.

Weird, I haven’t had any issues copying it between characters.
Do you have the ashes of malmouth expansion?

Yes I have AoM and I copied the file into the directory as you mentioned, as well as the directory for my cloud saves as well.

It’s an inconvenience but it is not like my character is corrupted or anything. :stuck_out_tongue:

Do I need to copy the file into any other directory like the survival maps?

Only replacing the one in levels_world001.map is enough.
I took the original file from https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1195695439
But it doesn’t have Ancient Grove and a few other new areas discovered.
Try the map.fow provided by them, it’s inside “GDSK (Jan 30 2018).rar” Vault/Map
I don’t have cloud saves enabled so my saves are in Documents. Maybe it’s a issue with cloud saves?

I figured it out.

I deleted my cloud saves after backing them up and then disabled cloud saving from the options menu. Then I pasted the map file over the local files and VIOLA! It worked!

Thanks for the link to GDSK by the way there may be more in there that I might be interested in. Kudos my man!

Time ago I made a request to the dves on this subject. That they added an NPC so that the map was already explored. So you do not have to repeat that with all the characters, for a long time. Link: http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23264
