[MOD] MI Removal

All rare MIs disintegrate when they drop on the ground, are gone from container loot and merchant stock, and replaced with other materials in blueprints. Epic and legendary MIs are untouched.

Installation: extract the contents of the archive into your Grim Dawn directory. Launch the game via a shortcut with a “/basemods” argument added to it, like so: “\Grim Dawn\x64\Grim Dawn.exe” /basemods.

This is a very neat mod, thank you!

I’ve been discussing the prospect of reverting the 1.3 MI drop logic on Discord briefly, though I have no experience in GD modding, and I’m wondering if you might have already been working on something like that? Or if you could point me to the effort cost of something like that? Thanks in advance.

It was already shared by @Serious_Stan.

I think I finally figured it out (for what it’s worth if someone lands here). Here’s what I did.
I realized your mod Dreamhaze only has the database.arz file in mods/, and scoping around the forum of loot and experience table mods, I thought I’d see if renaming Stan’s mod’s GoodOldMIs.arz to database.arz and placing it in the mods/ folder would work with the /basemods flag. All would seem to point that it should, and that I don’t necessarily need the database/records/ folder judging by the size of the .arz.

So, I ran the Ancient Shambler on a 29 level character. Grim Tools tells me a level ~14 Shambler has about a 60/40 chance to drop a level 8 versus a level 18 MI. The 1.3 changes would make it so, in this case, only a level 18 MI would drop? If the mod was successful, he’d drop at least one level 8 MI. Which he did.

Removing database.arz from mods/ made him never drop that in several subsequent runs. So, I guess that’s all? And thanks again!
